Abstract NAC (NAM, ATAF1/2, and CUC2) family transcription factors are involved in several cellular processes, including responses to drought, salinity, cold, submergence. However, whether or how certain proteins regulate drought tolerance rice (Oryza sativa) remain unclear. In this study, we show that overexpression of OsNAC78 enhanced resistance treatment, whereas Osnac78 mutant plants were susceptible stress. We further characterized the interacting protein, named NAC78 protein 6...

Although thousands of genes have been identified or cloned in rice (Oryza sativa) the last two decades, majority them only separately characterized specific varieties single-gene modified backgrounds, thus limiting their practical application. We developed an optimized multiplex genome editing (MGE) toolbox that can efficiently assemble and stably express up to twelve sgRNA targets a single plant expression vector. In this study, we established MGE-based Rapid Directional Improvement (MRDI)...

Matrix metalloproteinase-12 (MMP-12) plays an important role in invasion and metastasis of human solid tumor cells. This study aimed to investigate the association MMP-12 with overall survival gastric cancer.Gastric cancer adjacent normal tissue specimens were collected from 165 patients who had not received neoadjuvant chemotherapy. expression was determined by immunohistochemical staining, results analyzed statistically relation patients.MMP-12 increased compared that observed tissues....

To evaluate the feasibility and accuracy of high-frequency sonography (US) in diagnosing traumatic brachial plexus (BP) lesions neoplasms adult.Eleven patients with suspected BP closed trauma, 6 neoplasm, 12 healthy volunteers were scanned. The US findings compared surgical findings. The interscalene space intervertebral foramina useful anatomic markers identifying BP. In 24 sites examined normal group (12 subjects on both sides), fifth to seventh cervical nerve roots (C5-7, including upper...

Spaceflight is associated with cardiovascular deregulation. However, the influence of microgravity on system and its mechanisms countermeasures remain unknown. Our previous studies have demonstrated that transcutaneous electrical acupuncture stimulation (TEAS) effective in improving orthostatic tolerance (OT). The purpose this study was to determine if TEAS treatment can attenuate deconditioning induced by a 4-day -6° head-down bed rest (HDBR).Fourteen healthy male subjects were randomly...

The aim of this study was to investigate whether velocity vector imaging (VVI) combined with stress echocardiography could detect potential diffused myocardial impairment the left ventricle (LV) in diabetic rats.Thirty-five male SD rats were randomly divided into either control group or diabetes mellitus (DM) (induced STZ). VVI performed both at rest and after dipyridamole all 12 weeks later. Segmental peak systolic (V(s)), diastolic (V(d)), radial strain (epsilon(r)), circumferential...

The purpose of this study was to investigate whether myocardial systolic dysfunction and perfusion impairment occur in diabetic rats, assess their relationship using velocity vector imaging ( VVI ) contrast echocardiography MCE ). Forty‐six rats were randomly divided into either control or the diabetes mellitus DM groups. induced by intraperitoneal administration streptozotocin. Twelve weeks later, 39 survival underwent short‐axis view at middle level left ventricle, both rest after...

Application of two-dimensional myocardial acceleration map derived from tissue Doppler imaging is limited by inherent angle dependency and substantial reader variability in the visualization origin ventricular activation site. In this study we investigated characteristics normal left (LV) walls with velocity vector (VVI).VVI was applied to parasternal short-axis echocardiographic images at basal, mid, apical levels LV 30 volunteers. Background: The early diastolic peak velocity of left ventricular (LV) wall segment has always been thought to appear in the rapid filling phase. However, we find a segmental relaxation phenomenon (SERP), characterized by an lying isovolumic (IVR) period. present study aimed investigate characteristics SERP segments with tissue Doppler imaging (TDI) echocardiography.
