The presence and molecular characteristics of carbapenemase-producing Enterobacteriaceae (CPE) among meat products in China were investigated. A total 110 carbapenem-resistant (CRE) isolates, including 94 Escherichia coli 10 Klebsiella pneumoniae identified from 105 794 (13.2%) samples. positive rates markedly increased 2016 (9.4%) to 2018 (22.2%). Only blaNDM genes detected; 79.1% carried by IncX3 plasmids. Routine monitoring the animal food supply is highly recommended.
Background: Malignant phyllodes tumors (MPTs) are rare breast with high risks of local recurrence and distant metastasis. Surgical intervention is the primary treatment, but effectiveness adjuvant therapies uncertain. This study was designed to analyze prognostic risk factors associated MPTs evaluate efficacy postoperative chemotherapy. Patients Methods: who were first diagnosed MPT without metastasis received R0 resection surgery between 1999 2023 included in present stratified into 2...
The aim of this study is to contribute a better understanding metastatic malignant phyllode tumors (MMPTs) by exploring its prognostic factors, describing treatment landscape, and providing optimal choices. This retrospective multicentric was included 43 patients with MMPTs who received from 2009 2023 in four centers. primary endpoint the overall survival (OS). median these 7.27 months (range: 0.63-118.53) follow-up time 16.8 2-188). age were 49 years. metastasis-free (MFS, it between...
During a 2020 routine epidemiological investigation of carbapenem-resistant Enterobacterales at local food market in Guangzhou, China, two Escherichia coli ST410 isolates coproducing NDM-5 and OXA-181 were obtained from environmental samples. Antimicrobial susceptibility testing, whole-genome sequencing, conjugation assays applied to identify their resistance phenotypes, phylogenetic relatedness, genetic characteristics. Phylogenetic analysis showed that the clonally related with only one...
Abstract Biofilm is a group of heterogeneously structured and densely packed bacteria with limited access to nutrients oxygen. These intrinsic features can allow mono-species biofilm diversify into polymorphic subpopulations, determining the overall community’s adaptive capability changing ecological niches. However, specific biological functions underlying diversification fitness adaptation are poorly demonstrated. Here, we launched monitored experimental evolution Pseudomonas aeruginosa...
Breast phyllodes tumor (PT) is a rare fibroepithelial neoplasm with potential malignant behavior. Long non-coding RNAs (lncRNAs) play multifaceted roles in various cancers, but their involvement breast PT remains largely unexplored. In this study, microarray was leveraged for the first time to investigate role of lncRNA PT. We identified ZFPM2-AS1 significantly upregulated PT, and its overexpression endowed high grade adverse prognosis. Furthermore, we elucidated that promotes proliferation,...
Abstract Biofilms are a hotspot of bacterial social interactions that characterized by cooperation and competition. Even mono-species biofilm would evolve diversify into polymorphic subpopulations so kins different genotypes compete for limited nutrient space. However, the specific biological functions underlying diversification competition adaptation poorly demonstrated. Here, we launched monitored experimental evolution Pseudomonas aeruginosa biofilms, finding two competition-adaptive...
Abstract Breast phyllodes tumors (PTs) are biphasic, with epithelial and stromal components. Although the PT incidence is low (approximately 1% of all breast tumors), its clinical outcomes unpredictable, malignant PTs often progress rapidly. No effective treatment currently available, thus resulting a high mortality rate from PTs. cell lines must be established to facilitate study Herein, we six through continuous passage or immortalization. We characterized these in vitro functional assays,...
Malignant phyllodes tumor (PT) is a rare and aggressive type of breast that contains both stromal epithelial cells. Unfortunately, the effective drugs applied to treat malignant PT are still unavailable. Zoledronic acid (ZA), bisphosphonate, was approved for treating bone metastases in cancer. However, it unclear whether ZA PT, mechanism through which imposes effectiveness. Using CCK8, BrdU, colony formation flow cytometry assays, we observed potential effectiveness inhibiting illustrated...
