Background Tumor-associated macrophages (TAMs) resemble M2-polarized cells with potent immunosuppressive activity and play a pivotal role in tumor growth progression. Converting TAMs to proinflammatory M1-like phenotype is thus an attractive strategy for antitumor immunotherapy. Methods A mouse IgG 1 (kappa) monoclonal Ab, M-860, specific human lactoferrin (LTF) was generated by using the traditional hybridoma cell fusion technology. were culturing CD14 + monocytes tumor-conditioned media...

As a new freshwater aquaculture product, triploid loaches (Misgurnus anguillicaudatus) are characterized by fast growth, high-quality meat, high edibility, resistance to disease, and sterility. In this study, natural tetraploid loach (4n = 100) (♀) was crossed with diploid (2n 50) (♂), thus creating the hybrid (3n 75). The histological observations of offspring controls at 4 days post-hatching (dph), 15dph, 22dph, 50dph showed that most were abortive in early gonad differentiation process....

Immune check inhibitors (ICIs) have moderate response rates (~20%–30%) in some malignancies clinically, and, when used combination with other immunotherapeutic strategies such as DNA tumor vaccines, there is evidence to suggest that they could optimize the efficacy of cancer treatment. In this study, we validated intramuscular injection plasmid (pDNA) encoding OVA combined pDNA α-PD-1 (abbreviated following treatment groups) may enhance therapeutic by means situ gene delivery and enhanced...

Immunotherapy, in the shape of immune checkpoint inhibitors (ICIs), has completely changed treatment cancer. However, increasing expense and frequency immune-related side effects, which are frequently associated with combination antibody therapies Fc fragment antibody, have limited patient's ability to benefit from these treatments. Herein, we presented therapeutic effects plasmid-encoded PD-1 CTLA-4 scFvs (single-chain variable fragment) for melanoma

Objective Rheumatoid arthritis is an autoimmune disease characterized by synovial inflammation-driven cartilage and bone destruction, a process mainly mediated osteoclasts. In recent years M2-like macrophages have been found to play important role in the pathological of RA mediating pro-inflammatory effects, but their roles destruction not reported. Methods Results this study we identified that abundant cell population CD45 + CD11b Gr-1 - F4/80 CD206 cells, which were normally classified as...
