Abstract We report a case of retropharyngeal liposarcoma in 53-year-old female, who had complaints neck swelling accompanied with dysphagia, orthopnea and dysphonia. Clinical examination revealed huge multinodular front bilateral extension, more prominent on left side moving deglutition. The diagnosis was established following CT scan, MRI incisional biopsy. Surgical excision mass along near total thyroidectomy performed. Postoperative hospital stay uneventful. She remained well follow-up...
Fibrosarcoma is a rare, highly malignant tumor that develops from uncontrolled overgrowth of fibroblastic cells. It may start as painless lump or swelling under the skin. But it grows, can push surrounding structures - organs, muscles, nerves, blood vessels and lead to pain tenderness. The treatment fibrosarcoma depends on several factors such size, grade, location primary tumor, extent spread, age, general health condition patient. main surgical removal with wide-margin excision amputation...
Intramedullary spinal cord arachnoid cysts are rare. So, we present an interesting case of adult male presented with myelopathic symptoms and signs. Further investigations revealed a finding thoracic intramedullary cystic lesion, found postoperatively to be cyst. Patient improved remarkably postoperative during follow up period.
The Distal loopogram assesses distal bowel health pre-stoma reversal. Yet, its benefits for typhoid perforation patients require further evaluation. Objective: To assess the utility of before ileostomy stoma reversal in perforation. Methods: A comparative, cross-sectional study was conducted upon a sample 76 both gender with age from 13 to 70 years and being operated post-typhoid loop or without at Liaquat University Hospital Jamshoro Hyderabad. Non-consenting deranged kidney function...
Background: One of the body's main joints for bearing weight is knee. Its issues are likewise difficult to resolve. Damage this joint can cause abnormalities in alignment, stability, and motion knee, which impairs function. Objective: To compare functional radiological outcome AO type C1 distal femur fractures fixed with locking plate versus dynamic condylar screw. Methods: The study comprised 94 patients aged 18 60 years who had an isolated fracture Arbeitsgemeinschaft für...
Abstract Background Transcatheter aortic valve implantation (TAVI) is a growing treatment for stenosis, but anatomical variations exist across populations. Asians tend to have smaller annuli and higher bicuspid morphology compared Westerners, potentially impacting TAVI selection outcomes. This study analyzes root parameters in Pakistani patients undergoing TAVI. Results We conducted retrospective analysis of 78 who underwent at the Peshawar Institute Cardiology from January 2021 March 2024....
Liposarcoma is a locally aggressive tumor that may originate in soft tissue sites such as the retroperitoneum or extremities, less frequently, from bone. The fatty have an insidious growth pattern and be present incidentally on imaging, it with symptoms small bowel ureter obstruction. diagnosis can confirmed post-operatively via fluorescence situ hybridization (FISH) presence of mouse double minute 2 (MDM2) homolog protein cyclin-dependent kinase 4 (CDK4) gene amplification. rate recurrence...
ABSTRACT High spinal cord injury (HSCI) is one of the devastating traumatic injuries. Majority these patients are young male and 93% will have major neurological disabilities. The aim this study was to know prevalence, risk precipitating factors for prolonged bradycardia in HSCI patients. Patients methods All who were admitted intensive care unit (ICU) tertiary hospital, with above level dorsal (D4) enrolled prospectively. Patient's demographic data, mechanism, type injury, associated...
Aim: To compare the radiological and functional result of conservatively treated distant radius fractures (manipulation under anesthesia plaster paris) versus percutaneous K- wire fixation Study design: Retrospective Duration place study: Department Orthopedic Surgery, The Indus Hospital, Raiwind campus Lahore from July 2018 to August 2020. Methods: sample size 100 patients aged between 18-60 years, closed, isolated distal fracture were included, with diabetes mellitus, ischemic heart...
A 71-year-old man was referred to a rapid access chest pain clinic by his general practitioner. He presented with 6-month history of twice weekly central lasting 2–3 min walking and exertion, relieved rest or co-codamol tablets. After initial investigations positive myoview scan, he listed for an elective coronary angiogram. Unfortunately, the procedure abandoned due unclear course guide wire possible aberrant aortic course. Further non-invasive tests were arranged clarify anatomy vessels....

Lymphangiomas are congenital malformations of the lymphatic system, mostly well-circumscribed and cystic. Although many theories were proposed to explain etiology, it is still controversial. Most these lesions found in cervicofacial region, while scalp considered a scarce location, with only few reported cases literature. Herein, we report case lymphangioma 33-year-old male, which unexpectedly significantly progressed size over one year. The MRI scan characteristics unique compared...
We report a case of axillary vein thrombosis in 45-year-old-man, sustained after fall heavy object over the right upper limb. Three days later, diagnosis distal was made. Patient given subcutaneous low molecular weight heparin followed by oral warfarin. His symptoms disappeared 3 months treatment. It is important to be aware this unusual but potentially serious complication, as early and treatment may limit morbidity mortality.
• We present a rare case of embryonal rhabdomyosarcoma. Biliary rhabdomyosarcoma must be considered as primary diagnosis in patients clinical jaundice. Whipple procedures area worthy treatment modality.
The terminology “Intradural Extramedullary” is often associated with Nerve sheath tumors (schwannoma, Neurofibroma) and Meningioma, while dermoid cyst, epidermoid, neurenteric cyst are other benign entities. Hemangioblastomas rare, accounting for 1-5% of all spinal cord tumours.1 75% the Spinal hemangiblastoma Intramedullary, another 10-15% have combined intramedullary extramedullary-intradural component, isolated extramedullary hemangioblastoma rare1. Our case had an intradural without any...
Objectives Decompressive craniectomy is a last-tier therapy in the treatment of raised intracranial pressure after traumatic brain injury. We report association demographic, radiographic, and injury characteristics with outcome parameters early (<24 h) late (≥24 decompressive following Methods retrospectively identified 204 patients (158 (early craniectomy) 46 (late craniectomy)), median age 34 years (range 2–78 years) between 2015 2018. The primary endpoint was Glasgow Outcome Scale...
<h3>Background</h3> Saphenous vein grafts (SVG) are often employed for bypass in addition to internal mammary arteries during CABG operations. Despite the improvement surgical technique most post patients will require additional coronary artery catheterization their lifetimes. Radio-opaque markers SVGs safe and easy implant operation. The were found have no impact on long term graft patency. However, these should make repeat angiography studies easier allow procedures be performed with less...

However, data remains scarce on factors which influence length of such developing world. Objective: To find out predictors short versus prolonged PCICU stay after primary repair tetralogy Fallot (ToF).Methods: A prospective study was conducted at Department Cardiology, National Institute Cardiovascular Diseases (NICVD), Karachi Pakistan from March 2021...
Abstract The history of epilepsy is probably as long human race. It estimated that 6-7% population suffer at least one seizure some time in their life, between 0.5-1% Population from active epilepsy.
