A BSTRACT Background: Multidrug-resistant tuberculosis (MDR-TB) has remained a major global public health concern over the years due to morbidity and mortality associated with disease. The prolonged duration of drug treatment adverse reactions (ADRs) may affect compliance eventually outcome. Aim: aim this study was determine frequency ADRs in patients during MDR-TB. Materials Methods: We retrospectively reviewed medical records diagnosed MDR-TB May 2021 June 2022 completed their by December...
Magnetic nanoparticles (MNPs) were synthesized using the colloidal co-precipitation method and further coated with silica Stöber process. These functionalized carboxylic amine functionalities for covalent immobilization of antibodies on these MNPs. The procedure MNPs was developed 1-ethyl-3-(dimethylaminopropyl)carbodiimide (EDC) N-hydroxysuccinimide (NHS). evaluation efficiency coupling reaction carried out by UV-vis spectrophotometry. coupled to tested pre-concentration two biomarkers...
This article was originally published online on 23 April 2013 The present study is conducted to find the prevalence of Allergic Rhinitis (AR) and its associated co-morbidity in school going children urban area Jaipur City, Rajasthan. A questionnaire based survey during November-December 2011 2300 (4-18 yr). Modified ARIA translated Hindi language containing 20 questions used. Questions 1-4 were AR defining symptoms, question 5 related classification (intermittent Vs persistent), 6 allergens...
IntroductionBone marrow aspiration (BMA) and bone biopsy (BMB) is an indispensable diagnostic tool for evaluating haematological non-haematological disorders patient follow-up in present era. We have compared the advantages of trephine over these patients.Aim objectiveTo evaluate sensitivity specificity test non disorder patients comparison to test.Materials methodIn this 1 year prospective study (June 2014–May 2015), we evaluated by BMA BMB (aided with I.H.C. when ever needed). The tests...
Solid organ transplantation is the preferred therapeutic modality of treatment in patients affected by terminal failures. Human leukocyte antigens (HLAs) plays an important role graft survival. In many cases rejection, antibodies are directed against HLA expressed on cells transplanted organ. Pre-transplant compatibility testing involves use different methodologies for determination anti-HLA antibodies. Luminex single-antigen bead (SAB) assay demonstrates higher sensitivity and specificity...
Introduction: Bone marrow aspiration (BMA) and trephine biopsy are indispensable diagnostic tools for evaluating hematological nonhematological disorders in the present era. However, demands greater technical skills expertise as compared to BMA alone. In this study, we have analyzed advantages of carrying out along with same sitting. Materials Methods: This is a prospective observational study carried from June 2014 May 2015. The patients attending hematology medicine outdoors were screened...
Background: Diabetic foot ulcer is associated with signicant microangiopathy which causes damage to the vascular endothelial cells leading increased risk of thrombus formation along impaired process brinolysis. tPA most important part brinolytic system. It has been proven that level in blood reects activity. Hence t-PA levels can be used identify patients who have and are at developing diabetic To compare . Objective: concentration serum tissue plasminogen activator (t-PA) without ulcer....
Introduction Haglund's deformity is an abnormal bony postero-superior calcaneal prominence which causes the posterior heel pain. Surgery choice of treatment after failed conservative management. Both open and endoscopic techniques are used to treat this condition. In article, we discuss calcaneoplasty for management such cases. Methods All included patients underwent bi-portal calcaneoplasty. Clinical outcomes were assessed by using visual analog scale (VAS) score American Orthopaedic Foot...
<title>Abstract</title> Background: Benign prostatic hyperplasia is on the rise as life expectancy has been increased due to medical advancements. TURP once a gold standard now slowly replaced by lasers. As patients continue seeking less invasive and more efficient treatment options, they must be provided with evidence-based options. Studies using 200-watt thulium lasers are scant have mixed population of small large prostates. This study focuses mainly...
<title>Abstract</title> Background Urethral diverticula are a rare but recognized complication following hypospadias repair, often predisposing patients to calculi formation due urinary stasis. Giant urethral uncommon, particularly within the anterior urethra, and present unique diagnostic therapeutic challenges. Case Presentation We report case of 30-year-old male with history who presented two-year lower tract symptoms, including dysuria, weak stream, increased...
The current study reveals an elegant equilibrium between previously unprecedented high-valent electromer complexes, Co( iii )-(μ-1,2-peroxo)-Co( iv ) and )-(μ-1,2-superoxo)-Co( ), stabilized by the electron-donating TPA* ligand.
Isolated renal mucormycosis is rare. Its occurrence in immunocompetent patients low. We present the case of a 45-year-old male presenting with flank pain and intermittent fever. On further evaluation, he was found to have lower ureteric mass. Partial cystectomy radical nephroureterectomy pelvic node dissection were done. Histopathology suggestive mucormycosis. To best our knowledge, this only as mass requiring partial cystectomy. Diagnosis challenging requires high index suspicion.
