The purpose of this study was to compare bone regeneration and space maintaining ability three-dimensional (3D) printed grafts with conventional biphasic calcium phosphate (BCP). After mixing polycaprolactone (PCL), poly (lactic-co-glycolic acid) (PLGA), β-tricalcium (β-TCP) in a 4:4:2 ratio, PCL/PLGA/β-TCP particulate were fabricated using 3D printing technology. Fabricated mixed atelocollagen produce collagen-based composite block grafts. formation calvarial defects 8 mm diameter, BCP...
Geosynchronous satellites are often exposed to energetic electrons, the flux of which varies a large extent. Since electrons can cause irreparable damage satellites, efforts develop electron prediction models have long been made until recently. In this study, we adopt neural network scheme construct model for geosynchronous in wide energy range (40 keV >2 MeV) and at high time resolution (as based on 5 min data). As inputs, take solar wind variables, geomagnetic indices, fluxes themselves....
Here we examine the waveguide dispersion property of slot waveguides, approaching/analyzing given problem with respect to normalized index contrast, Δnslot-core/ncore and Δncore-clad/ncore between adjacent layers . For two contrasts concern, it is found that their contributions dispersions are substantially different, Δnslot-core Δncore-clad each acting preferentially on short- long-wavelength regions. Additional degrees freedom in design, such as effect absolute refractive geometry also...
To develop a biomimetic artificial tactile sensing system capable of detecting sustained mechanical touch, we propose novel biological neuron model (BNM) for slowly adapting type I (SA-I) afferent neurons. The proposed BNM is designed by modifying the Izhikevich to incorporate long-term spike frequency adaptation.Adjusting parameters renders describing various neuronal firing patterns. We also search optimal parameter values describe patterns SA-I neurons in response pressure longer than...
TRIM46 is a RING finger E3 ligase which belongs to TRIM (tripartite motif-containing) protein family. required for neuronal polarity and axon specification by driving the formation of parallel microtubule arrays, whereas its embryological functions remain be determined yet. Expression patterns biological trim46a, zebrafish homologue TRIM46, were studied in embryo. First, maternal transcripts trim46a present at 1 cell stage zygotic messages abundant eyes, MHB (Midbrain-Hindbrain Boundary)...

Abstract In this work we analyze the statistical properties and geoeffectiveness of southward interplanetary magnetic field (IMF) B z ( s ) events measured near Earth from 1996 to 2015. We classify into six contrasting classes according duration intensity : two subclasses long‐lasting major intensity, weak short‐lasting intensity. find following results. (1) The occurrence rate is lowest for major‐intensity increases toward shorter‐lasting weaker‐intensity classes. (2) Many in nearly all are...
Plant leaves are multi-component optical materials consisting of water, pigments, and dry matter, among which water is the predominant constituent. In this article, we investigate laser interaction with grass using CO2 Er:YAG lasers theoretically experimentally, especially targeting in tissues. We have first studied properties light absorbing constituents theoretically, then identified regimes constructed maps through a systematic experiment. Using maps, how change as process parameters...
Three-dimensional bioprinting is a key technology in bioartificial organ production. However, production of organs has significant limitations because it hard to build vascular structures, especially capillaries, printed tissue owing its low resolution. As the structure plays critical role delivering oxygen and nutrients cells removing metabolic waste, building channels bioprinted essential for In this study, we demonstrated an advanced strategy fabricating multi-scale vascularized using...
