Dual-comb spectroscopy holds the promise as real-time, high-resolution tools. However, in its conventional schemes, stringent requirement on coherence between two lasers requires sophisticated control systems. By replacing electronics with an all-optical dual-comb lasing scheme, a simplified scheme is demonstrated using one dual-wavelength, passively mode-locked fiber laser. Pulses intracavity-dispersion-determined repetition-frequency difference are shown to have good mutual and stability....

We present measurements of the charmonium state h(c)(1P(1)) made with 106x10(6) psi' events collected by BESIII at BEPCII. Clear signals are observed for psi'-->pi0 h(c) and without subsequent radiative decay h(c)-->gamma eta(c). First absolute branching ratios B(psi'-->pi0 h(c)) = (8.4+/-1.3+/-1.0) x 10(-4) B(h(c)-->gamma eta(c)) (54.3+/-6.7+/-5.2)% presented. A statistics-limited determination previously unmeasured width leads to an upper limit Gamma(h(c))<1.44 MeV (90% confidence)....
Dual-comb lasers from which asynchronous ultrashort pulses can be simultaneously generated have recently become an interesting research subject. They could intriguing alternative to the current dual-laser optical-frequency-comb source with highly sophisticated electronic control systems. If through a common light path traveled by all pulses, common-mode noises between spectral lines of different pulse trains significantly reduced. Therefore, coherent dual-comb generation completely...

The article “Potential false-positive rate among the ‘asymptomatic infected individuals’ in close contacts of COVID-19 patients” was under strong discussion after pre-published. Questions from readers mainly focused on article’s results and conclusions were depended theoretical deduction, but not field epidemiology data further researches needed to prove current theory. Based previous discussions, decided be offline by editorial board pre-publish lists.

Microwave photonic solutions of frequency measurement have advantages in broad coverage, but achieving high-resolution remains a challenge. Those schemes based on optical combs could achieve over range. Here, dead-band-free, microwave scheme undersampling the signal by three pulse sequences generated from triple-wavelength mode-locked fiber laser is proposed and demonstrated. The ultrashort pulses one cavity slightly different repetition rates due to chromatic dispersion. This eliminates...
