Recent trends in drug discovery include methods to identify dual and triple activating drugs. This approach is being successfully employed malaria, cancer, asthma, insulin resistance, etc. Molecular field analysis has been correlating pharmacological data parameters. In this paper we introduce the concept of additivity molecular fields correlate activators their pIC50 values. PPARα PPARγ activators, which affect hypertriglyceridemia hyperglycemia, have chosen validate concept. Three CoMFA...

Ab initio molecular orbital (MO) and density functional studies have been carried out on the keto−enol tautomerization process in thiazolidinediones to understand mechanism of rapid racemization observed these systems. MP2(full)/6-31+G* results model thiazolidinedione 1 indicate that energy difference between keto enol tautomers is 24.04 kcal/mol, which larger than acetaldehyde (16.23 kcal/mol). Neither ring strain nor electron delocalization its significant enough facilitate through this...

In the last four decades, survival in childhood cancer India has improved significantly, but we increasingly face question that challenged providers high-income countries: when care becomes futile and merely prolongs suffering, how should be addressed? This position statement was prepared by a panel Pediatric Hematology-Oncology chapter of Indian Academy Pediatrics (IAP-PHO), using process endorsed Executive Committee IAP-PHO. The consisted stakeholders who are committed to improving...

Abstract This theoretical study attempts to find out similarity between metformin and glitazone class of antidiabetic drugs. It was found that some tautomeric forms both thiazolidinedione ring glitazones have similar molecular electrostatic potential (MESP) surface may bind a common complementary surface. Complexation docking studies were also carried in order support this hypothesis. Copyright © 2007 John Wiley & Sons, Ltd.

A BSTRACT Advanced kidney disease presents a significant burden to patients, often leading complex array of symptoms and challenges that impact their quality life. Palliative care (PC), with its focus on symptom management, communication, holistic support, plays crucial role in enhancing the well-being these patients. This article explores principles PC context advanced disease, highlighting need for early integration into standard nephrology care. It also discusses interventions such as...

Abstract BACKGROUND The pyrazoline insecticides, invented by Philips Duphar in the 1970s, provide excellent control of lepidopterans and coleopterans introduced a novel mode action (MoA) as sodium‐channel‐blocking but were not commercialized due to unacceptable persistence. This MoA is less explored, with only two successfully insecticides derived from class – oxadiazine indoxacarb FMC (developed DuPont) semicarbazone metaflumizone, co‐developed BASF Nihon Nohyaku. RESULTS design synthesis...
