ABSTRACT Objectives To report the clinical performance of massively parallel sequencing‐based non‐invasive prenatal testing ( NIPT ) in detecting trisomies 21, 18 and 13 over 140 000 samples to compare its low‐risk high‐risk pregnancies. Methods Between 1 January 2012 31 August 2013, 147 314 requests screen for fetal using low‐coverage whole‐genome sequencing plasma cell‐free DNA were received. The results validated by karyotyping or follow‐up outcomes. Results was performed obtained 146 958...
Genes on the Y chromosome play important roles in male sex determination and development. The identification of Y-chromosome-specific genes not only provides a theoretical basis for study reproductive development, but also offers genetic control targets agricultural pests. However, Y-chromosome are rarely characterized due to their high repeatability heterochromatinization, especially oriental fruit fly. In this study, 1 011 candidate sequences were screened from 2 4 h Bactrocera dorsalis...
To evaluate the performance of a massively parallel sequencing (MPS)-based test in detecting fetal sex chromosome aneuploidy (SCA) and to present comprehensive clinical counseling protocol for SCA-positive patients. This was retrospective study large patient cohort 5950 singleton pregnancies which underwent MPS-based testing as prenatal screening trisomies 21, 18 13, with X Y chromosomes secondary findings, Southwest Hospital China. women were offered choice knowing whether their SCA results...
Abstract Objective : The Readiness Potential (RP) is an important neural characteristic in motor preparation-based brain-computer interface (MP-BCI). In our previous research, we observed a significant decrease of the RP amplitude some cases, which severely affects pre-movement patterns detection. this paper, aimed to improve accuracy detection condition decrease.
Approach We analyzed multi-dimensional EEG features terms time-frequency, brain networks, and cross-frequency coupling....
This study constructs a low-carbon city evaluation system encompassing four key areas: production, consumption, environment, and progress. Jointly developed by the World Resources Institute Chinese Academy of Environmental Planning, assesses 102 cities worldwide using 15 indicators. By classifying based on climate zones, industrial structure, international status, it offers standardized assessment framework valuable insights to support urban development, with particular focus cities.
The purpose of this article is to report the clinical experience and performance massively parallel sequencing-based noninvasive prenatal testing (NIPT) as a screening method in detecting trisomy 21, 18, 13 (T21/T18/T13) mixed-risk population Thailand. In 30-month period, 121 medical centers Thailand offered NIPT tests for fetal T21, T18, T13 population. All NIPT-positive cases were recommended undergo invasive diagnosis.A total 4736 participants received test, including 2840 high-risk...
Two hundred and thirty‐six novel human leukocyte antigen (HLA) alleles are described from volunteer donors of the China Marrow Donor Program: 71 HLA‐A alleles, 79 HLA‐B 43 HLA‐C, 16 HLA‐DRB1 26 HLA‐DQB1 1 HLA‐DPB1. thirteen (90.3%) 236 single nucleotide substitution variants when compared with their most homologous allele. Seventy‐eight these silent substitutions. The remaining differ similar allele by two to four Some encode amino acid changes at positions not previously reported be...
Four hundred novel human leukocyte antigen ( HLA ) alleles were identified in Chinese individuals: 100 ‐A alleles, ‐B 101 ‐C 28 HLA‐DRB1 and 71 HLA‐DQB1 alleles. Comparing with their most homologous allele, we found 72.73% non‐synonymous nucleotide substitutions, 21.13% silent mutations, 3.90% nonsense mutations 3.25% frameshift mutation. 352 (88%) of the 400 are single substitution variants when compared other differ from similar allele by more than 1 such as 2, 3, 5, 6, 8 so on. Some...
To review the positive predictive value of abnormal results from 1978 cases non-invasive prenatal testing (NIPT) for fetal chromosomal abnormalities in a single centre. All NIPT by low coverage whole genome sequencing maternal plasma DNA center between August 2011 and February 2013 were reviewed. Bioinformatics analysis covered aneuploidy all 23 pairs chromosomes, large deletion duplications. When an abnormality was detected NIPT, efforts made to obtain pre- or post-natal karyotyping, if...
