Temporal Point Processes (TPPs) have been widely used for event sequence modeling, but they often struggle to incorporate rich textual descriptions effectively. Conversely, while Large Language Models (LLMs) shown remarkable capabilities in processing data, lack mechanisms handling temporal dynamics. To bridge this gap, we introduce Language-TPP, a unified framework that integrates TPPs with LLMs enhanced modeling. Language-TPP introduces novel encoding mechanism converts continuous time...

Video traffic has witnessed exponential growth in recent years. As the cost optimization space of Content Delivery Network (CDN) reached a plateau, content providers are expanding their network infrastructure to accommodate this surge. To address issue, have turned cost-effective Peer-to-Peer (PCDN) solutions. However, utilization limited-capability PCDN nodes may lead decline overall streaming performance compared powerful CDN servers. bridge gap, we present Twist. Twist is receiver-driven...

Abstract Soft magnetic materials (SMMs) are indispensable for electromechanical energy conversion in high-efficiency applications, but they exposed to increasing mechanical loading conditions electric motors due higher rotational speeds. Enhancing the yield strength of SMMs is essential prevent degradation performance and failure from plastic deformation, yet most have strengths far below one gigapascal. Here, we present a multicomponent nanostructuring strategy that doubles while...

Colorectal cancer (CRC) patients with mismatch repair (MMR)-deficient (dMMR) but not MMR-proficient (pMMR) tend to benefit from immune checkpoint blockade (ICB) therapy. To profile the tumor microenvironments (TME) underlying these varied therapeutic responses, we integrate spatial enhanced resolution omics-sequencing (Stereo-seq), single-cell RNA sequencing, and multiplexed imaging analysis create high-definition maps of tumors treatment-naïve ICB-treated CRC patients. Our results identify...

This study aims to develop castable polyurethane suitable for applications on wet substrates or underwater construction. Polyurethanes were synthesized using various polyols with similar hydroxyl values, including poly(tetrahydrofuran) polyol, polyester castor oil-modified soybean and cashew nut shell polyol. The corresponding curing products evaluated their characteristics by volume expansion rates adhesion strength dry substrates, combined analyses of reaction exothermic behavior, wetting...

Prevalent in biological applications (e.g., human phenotype measurements), multimodal datasets can provide valuable insights into the underlying mechanisms. However, current machine learning models designed to analyze such still lack interpretability and theoretical guarantees, which are essential applications. Recent advances causal representation have shown promise uncovering interpretable latent variables with formal certificates. Unfortunately, existing works for distributions either...

Multi-site Parallel Downloading is a technique that uses multiple low-cost edge nodes in the Internet to transfer short video content. Traditional multi-path congestion control fails achieve fast convergence and high bandwidth utilization MPD scenarios due over-coupling of subflows. In this paper, we propose semi-coupled design for scenario by reallocating traffic between independent simulation experiments, our outperforms baseline models traditional MPTCP.
