This paper fundamentally investigates the peak-to-average power ratio (PAPR) theory in all optical orthogonal frequency division multiplexing (OFDM) systems which employ intensity modulation-direct detection (IM-DD) scheme. We propose a low-complexity PAPR reduction scheme based on phase pre-emphasis. Simulations show that proposed brings about 3.74 dB and better nonlinear impairment tolerance 16x10Gb/s IM-DD OFDM system.

An online degradation model is presented, in which avoided the error parameter accelerated test, caused by temperature shock during measurement. Through measurement with avoiding parameter, can be more accurate. To demonstrate application of method, a kind mature product, 3CG120, tested range 150230 ℃ under process-stress.
