Abstract BACKGROUND: Diets high in fruit and vegetables are known to have significant health benefits. This is part due the presence of phytochemicals, which possess potential protective study focuses on ability strawberries be bred for higher anthocyanin content. a major contributor characteristic colour nutritional value ripe strawberries, together with phenolic acids, ascorbic acid total antioxidant capacity. RESULTS: Anthocyanins five commercial strawberry cultivars three breeding lines...

Six strawberry (Fragaria × ananassa) cultivars (Camarosa, Selva, Kabarla, Joy, Flame, and Sweet Charlie) were grown in a raised bed, annual hill production system at the Maroochy Research Station Nambour, Queensland during 2000 season. Mature fruit from each cultivar analyzed for soluble solids (SS) titratable acidity (TA) on July 26 August 30. Between harvest dates, rankings shifted SS, but not TA. 'Flame' 'Kabarla' had highest TA; 'Camarosa' 'Selva' intermediate; 'Sweet Charlie' 'Joy' lowest

Plant tissue culture has been used for a number of years to produce micropropagated strawberry plants planting into runner growing beds in the Stanthorpe (Queensland) and Bothwell (Tasmania) regions. This process allowed rapid release new cultivars from LAWS (Late Autumn, Winter, Spring) breeding program current production system. Micro-propagation vitro allows be produced during autumn winter months, when mother would normally fruit phase field Queensland. The are high health status they...

Methods: This a retrospective cohort observational adult admitted University Texas MD Anderson Cancer Center between January 2019 and October 2022. Data collected from documented nasal clinical cultures taken within 7 days were collected. first screening culture results unique included for analysis calculate sensitivity, specificity, positive value, NPV. Queensland's winter strawberry (Fragaria •ananassa Duch.) industry would benefit by having an early ripening, more profitable cultivar to replace current cultivars.'Strawberry Festival' (Chandler et al., 2000) and, recently, 'Florida Radiance' 2009) were introduced Queensland and rapidly became major early-season cultivars with fruit plant attributes desirable growers.'Florida is marketed in Australia as Fortuna'.The average size of 'Strawberry less than Radiance', but the latter difficult...

Screening of phytochemicals has been interest in strawberry genotypes as there is emerging evidence from epidemiological and clinical studies that consumption phytochemical-rich cultivars may provide health benefits. The aim the present study was (1) to quantify selected new breeding lines (BL) (2) assess vitro bioaccessibility an initial measure predict their bioavailability.

Abstract Background Methicillin-resistant Staphylococcus aureus (MRSA) nasal screening has a high negative predictive value (NPV) in immunocompetent patients with infections and is widely utilized as tool for antibiotic discontinuation. The data applying swab cancer limited, particularly those that are immunocompromised the setting of neutropenic fever. aim this study to determine values MRSA swabs screenings living cancer. Methods This retrospective cohort observational adult admitted...
