Behavioural fever, manifested as an increased preferred temperature, was shown in rainbow trout Oncorhynchus mykiss following injection of bacterial lipopolysaccharide. Simulated behavioural through a 2·5° C water temperature rise lipopolysaccharide injection, enhanced the expression cytokine interleukin‐1 β , comparison with untreated group held at initial temperature. The present findings show that important mediator immune response can be boosted fever fishes.
Abstract Aims An explainable advanced electrocardiography (A-ECG) Heart Age gap is the difference between A-ECG and chronological age. This an estimate of accelerated cardiovascular aging expressed in years healthy human aging, can intuitively communicate risk to general population. However, existing requires sinus rhythm. We aim develop prognostically validate a revised, applicable both non-sinus rhythms. Methods results excluding P-wave measures was derived from 10-s 12-lead ECG derivation...
A method to study electrically induced distal colonic motility in the rat vivo is reported. The animals were anaesthetized with methohexital and chloralose artificially ventilated. Motility of a segment (2 cm) colon was monitored as volume changes an intraluminal balloon, introduced via anus. Local electrical stimulation wall achieved by means bipolar electrode folded around gut. Stimulations produced reproducible contractile responses frequency dependent fashion. Stimulation characteristics...
Background An explainable advanced electrocardiography (A-ECG) heart age gap is the difference between A-ECG and chronological age. This an estimate of accelerated cardiovascular ageing expressed in years healthy human aging, can intuitively communicate risk to general population. However, existing measures require discernible P waves on ECG. Aims To develop prognostically validate a revised, without incorporating P-wave measures. Methods (non-P) was derived from 10-second 12-lead ECG...
Skin cancer is a prevalent and clinically significant condition, with early accurate diagnosis being crucial for improved patient outcomes. Dermoscopy artificial intelligence (AI) hold promise in enhancing diagnostic accuracy. However, the impact of image quality, particularly high dynamic range (HDR) conversion smartphone images, on performance remains poorly understood.
Abstract Background Skin cancer constitutes a significant and growing disease burden. To deal with this, teledermoscopy (TDS) can be useful. However, image quality is concern for implementing TDS. High obtained at dermatology department, but in many occasions, it more sensible to acquire TDS images general practice. Objectives compare quality, diagnostic confidence, suggested management, sensitivity, specificity accuracy between two sets of dermoscopic the same skin tumour, where one set was...
