Graptophyllum pictum is a tropical plant noticeable for its variegated leaves and exploited various medicinal purposes. In this study, seven compounds, including three furanolabdane diterpenoids, i.e., Hypopurin E, A B, as well with Lupeol, β-sitosterol 3-O-β-d-glucopyranoside, stigmasterol 3-O-β-d-glucopyranoside mixture of stigmasterol, were isolated from G. pictum, their structures deduced ESI-TOF-MS, HR-ESI-TOF-MS, 1D 2D NMR experiments. The compounds evaluated anticholinesterase...
A new abietane-type diterpenoid, rubesanolidic acid (1), alongside six known compounds including β-sitosterol (2), lupeol (3), betulinic (4) ursolic (5), 3-O-β-D-glucopyranoside (6) and stigmasterol (7) were isolated from the roots of Burkea africana through column chromatography. Their structures elucidated spectroscopic analyses (UV, IR, MS, 1D 2D NMR) data by comparison with previous studies. The extract tested for their α-amylase inhibition. was more active than a percentage inhibition...
