Inter-organellar communication is critical for cellular metabolic homeostasis. One of the most abundant inter-organellar interactions are those at endoplasmic reticulum and mitochondria contact sites (ERMCS). However, a detailed understanding mechanisms governing ERMCS regulation their roles in metabolism limited by lack tools that permit temporal induction reversal. Through unbiased screening approaches, we identified fedratinib, an FDA-approved drug, dramatically increases abundance...

Niclosamide, an FDA-approved oral anthelmintic drug, has broad biological activity including anticancer, antibacterial, and antiviral properties. Niclosamide also been identified as a potent inhibitor of SARS-CoV-2 infection in vitro, generating interest its use for the treatment or prevention COVID-19. Unfortunately, there are several potential issues with using niclosamide COVID-19, low bioavailability, significant polypharmacology, high cellular toxicity, unknown efficacy against emerging...

Due to its indolent nature, nontuberculous mycobacteria (NTM) are increasing in global prevalence as a cause of pulmonary infections and difficult treat with traditional antibiotics. Here, we study the repurposing clofazimine (CFZ) NTM through expanded access single health system. Our main objectives describe feasibility accessing analyzing data generate hypotheses regarding CFZ use treatment.
