Cognitive developmental theories of moral judgment assume that some types argument are more advanced or valid than others; however, logical analysis reveals they vary not in type but only content (type behavior approved disapproved) and the source authority to which appeal (e.g., parental authority, legality, justice etc). Consequently, current distinction studies child-rearing techniques between 'reasoning' various authoritarian procedures calls for reformulation. A two-stage...

Recent research shows that adolescents are a high-risk group for HIV infection, and educational campaigns designed to reduce risk taking concerning HIV/AIDS have been largely ineffective with this population. It is probable irrational psychodynamic processes underlie risky behavior. In order explore these behaviors, sample of low-risk high-school one institutionalized juvenile offenders were formed into small groups therapy. This article presents preliminary findings based on qualitative...

Empirical assessments of the similarities and variations neurobiological structures in animals are basis comparative neuroanatomy. Animal models including small laboratory mammals indispensable tools for neuroanatomical research. The mammalian midbrain has been described with grey matter red nucleus (RN), substantia nigra (SN) involved important brain functions like regulation motor related activities. The validation of a projective measure aggression-anxiety for five-year-old boys was carried out in three stages. initial application scaling technique to the cards from CAT established an objective scale hostile content stimuli population five-year-olds. Cards low, medium, and high hostility were then selected aggression-anxiety, using criterion groups based on teacher ratings. revised basis item analysis successfully cross-validated new set groups. did not prove be significant variable...
A theoretical perspective for the psychological study of moral development is presented which does not rely on notion that different types view have logical structures, and provides a framework specific predictions about content reasoning, motivation, behavior. It differences in ascribed source authority rather than structure or form really differentiate Kohlberg's stages. Research findings support it pattern identification gives rise to reasoning abilities.
Abstract Kelly's attempt to derive apparently motiwtional phenomena (hostility, guilt, etc.) solely from the confirmation or disconfirmation of personal constructs cannot adequately explain such phenomena. His account hostility assumes that some beliefs are so resistant change person seeks compel them; however, this resistance is incompatible with own Choice Corollary. Anxiety said fact would leave one's world in chaos, but “chaos” shown be an illogical concept. Humor, turn, explained just...

The logical difficulties with existing measures of construct implications are examined and rectified in a newly developed instrument, the Logical Relations Grid. Empirical evidence is presented which demonstrates its reliability, validity, capacity for revealing specific relations between pairs as well inconsistent implications. Finally, potential use children adults demonstrated.
