Plant development is modulated by the convergence of multiple environmental and endogenous signals, mechanisms that allow integration different signaling pathways currently being unveiled. A paradigmatic case concurrence brassinosteroid (BR) gibberellin (GA) in control cell expansion during photomorphogenesis, which supported physiological observations several plants but for no molecular mechanism has been proposed. In this work, we show these two occurs through physical interaction between...

The ability of plants to provide a plastic response environmental cues relies on the connectivity between signaling pathways. DELLA proteins act as hubs that relay information multiple transcriptional circuits control growth and development through physical interaction with transcription factors from different families. We have analyzed presence one protein at Arabidopsis genome by chromatin immunoprecipitation coupled large-scale sequencing we find it binds promoters genes. Enrichment...

Significance DELLA proteins are plant-specific transcriptional regulators that act as signaling hubs at the interface between environment and networks control growth. The growth-promoting hormone gibberellin destabilizes DELLAs. Here we describe an alternative pathway to destabilize these proteins. We show DELLAs substrate of COP1, E3 ubiquitin ligase increases its activity promote growth in response shade or warmth. Our results not changes levels, mediates rapid destabilization environmental cues.

In response to canopy shade, plant vegetative structures elongate gain access light. However, the mechanism that allows a plastic transcriptional shade light is not fully elucidated. Here we propose activity of PIF4, key transcription factor in signalling network, modulated by interplay between BBX24 regulator and DELLA proteins, which are negative regulators gibberellin (GA) pathway. We show GA-related targets enriched among genes responsive under shade-response defect bbx24 mutants rescued...

Chronic kidney disease (CKD) patients show high rates of cardiovascular (CVD) and mortality. In the general population, obesity, hypertension, diabetes are known as classical CVD risk factors. However, CKD have other predisposing factors more associated with bone mineral metabolism disorders (BMD). BMD originates from reduced 1,25-dihydroxy vitamin D hypocalcemia, which lead to secondary hyperparathyroidism, increased parathyroid hormone (PTH) levels hyperphosphatemia progression renal...
