Chemokines and their receptors play integral roles in carcinogenesis. CXC motif chemokine receptor 3 (CXCR3) T cells mediates anti-tumor effects, whereas CXCR3 malignant promotes proliferation metastasis. Although the role of has been well-documented human cancers, including breast cancer, its function canine tumors remains largely unexplored. This study aimed to investigate effects ligand interaction mammary gland tumor (cMGT) cells. expression two cMGT cell lines, CIPp CIPm, was evaluated...

Abstract Background Evaluating regeneration is essential for the classification and differential diagnosis of anemia in dogs. Early detection challenging anemic Objectives This study assessed value immature reticulocyte fraction (IRF) differentiating preregenerative (PRA) from nonregenerative (NRA) Animals Ninety‐four dogs: 49 controls 45 with anemia. Methods Case‐control study. Fractions low‐, medium‐ (MFR), high‐fluorescence reticulocytes (HFR), were measured using ADVIA 2120i hematology...

Serum uromodulin concentration has been described as a novel biomarker of chronic kidney disease (CKD) in humans but not dogs.To evaluate the serum dogs with CKD and assess its diagnostic performance distinguishing from healthy dogs.Forty-nine (International Renal Interest Society [IRIS] Stage 1, n = 23; 2, 20; 3-4, 6) 25 controls.Prospective, observational study. was measured using canine-specific enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA), correlation conventional renal markers...

Two Domestic Korean Shorthair cats presented with dyschezia and vomiting. Computed tomography revealed a colonic mass calcification lymph node metastasis in case 1, small intestinal disseminated mesenteric 2. Histopathology adenocarcinoma osseous metaplasia. Case 1 died two months after surgery from distant metastasis; 2 showed no for five but anorexia, euthanized seven diagnosis. Metastatic bone formation should be considered as differential diagnosis on imaging, at may indicate poor prognosis.

Abstract Canine mammary gland tumors (CMTs) are the most common tumor type in female dogs. This study evaluated expression pattern and role of thyroglobulin (Tg) CMT human breast cancer (HBC). samples were subjected to fine‐needle aspiration, primary cell culture, histopathology. The level Tg was higher benign than malignant (mCMT) cells, particularly epithelial lineage. Moreover, treatment with enhanced sensitivity doxorubicin mCMT cells mitigated proinflammatory response by increasing...

An 11-year-old obese dog was referred for a liver mass. Cytologic examination revealed vacuolated hepatocytes with mild pleomorphism. A partial lobectomy performed. On histopathologic examination, the mass diagnosed as hepatocellular carcinoma composed of clear vacuoles. These findings were consistent cell (CCHCC). The CCHCC is rare subtype in dogs, and clinical features are poorly defined. This first report on cytological, histological aspects CCHCC, suggesting that obesity hyperlipidemia...
