We present a new analysis of double charmonium production in e^+ e^- annihilation. The observation the processes -> J/psi eta_c, chi_c0, and eta_c(2S) is confirmed using dataset more than three times larger that Belle's previous report, no evidence for process found. perform an angular eta_c set upper limit on J/psi. Processes type psi(2S) (cc)_res have been observed first time; their rates are found to be comparable those processes.
We present an improved measurement of CP-violation parameters in B0-->phiK(0)(S), K(+)K(-)K(0)(S), and eta(')K(0)(S) decays based on a 140 fb(-1) data sample collected at the Upsilon(4S) resonance with Belle detector KEKB energy-asymmetric e(+)e(-) collider. One neutral B meson is fully reconstructed one specified decay channels, flavor accompanying identified from its products. for each three modes are obtained asymmetries distributions proper-time intervals between two decays. find that...
CP violation in B→J/ψK∗ decays is studied using an angular analysis a data sample of 253 fb−1 recorded with the Belle detector at KEKB e+e− collider. The flavor separated measurements decay amplitudes indicate no evidence for direct violation. T-odd asymmetries triple product correlations, and results are consistent standard model null predictions. time-dependent gives following values CP-violating parameters: sin2ϕ1=0.24±0.31±0.05 cos2ϕ1=0.56±0.79±0.11.Received 17 April...
Abstract The objective of the paper is to present global performance large (15 MW or more) Floating Wind Semi-Submersible (FWSS) platforms under combined wind, waves and current loads. FWSS platform an in-house semi-submersible design with three side columns on pontoons one center column incorporating enhanced stability outrigger pontoons, low draft, airgap. discusses efficient use cyber-physical model tests arrive at reliable results demonstrate a scalable as turbine size becomes larger....
We report the results of a search for rare baryonic decays ${B}^{0}\ensuremath{\rightarrow}p\overline{p},$ $\ensuremath{\Lambda}\overline{\ensuremath{\Lambda}},$ and ${B}^{+}\ensuremath{\rightarrow}p\overline{\ensuremath{\Lambda}}.$ The analysis is based on data set $31.7\ifmmode\times\else\texttimes\fi{}{10}^{6}B\overline{B}$ events collected by Belle detector at KEKB ${e}^{+}{e}^{\ensuremath{-}}$ collider. No statistically significant signals are found, we branching fraction upper limits...
We report evidence for the decay mode B-->phiphiK based on an analysis of 78 fb(-1) data collected with Belle detector at KEKB. This is first example a b-->sssss transition. The branching fraction this measured to be B(B+/--->phiphiK+/-)=(2.6(+1.1)(-0.9)+/-0.3)x10(-6) phiphi invariant mass below 2.85 GeV/c(2). Results other related charmonium modes are also reported.
We present the first evidence of decay ${B}^{0}\ensuremath{\rightarrow}{\ensuremath{\rho}}^{0}{\ensuremath{\pi}}^{0}$, using $140\text{ }\text{ }{\mathrm{f}\mathrm{b}}^{\ensuremath{-}1}$ data collected at $\ensuremath{\Upsilon}(4S)$ resonance with Belle detector KEKB asymmetric ${e}^{+}{e}^{\ensuremath{-}}$ collider. detect $15.1\ifmmode\pm\else\textpm\fi{}4.8$ signal events a significance 3.5 standard deviations and measure branching fraction to be...
During 2013 and 2014 (Long Shutdown LS1) the CMS experiment is upgrading forward region installing a fourth layer of RPC detectors in order to complete improve muon system performances view foreseen high luminosity run LHC. The new two endcap disks consists 144 double-gap chambers assembled at three different production sites: CERN, Ghent (Belgium) BARC (India). chamber components as well final are subjected full series tests established parallel all sites.
Abstract The Gas Electron Multiplier (GEM) detectors of the GE1/1 station CMS experiment have been operated in magnetic field for first time on 7 th October 2021. During ramps, several discharge phenomena were observed, leading to instability GEM High Voltage (HV) power system. In order reproduce behavior, it was decided conduct a dedicated test at CERN North Area with Goliath magnet, using four spare chambers. consisted studying characteristics events that occurred different detector...
We present an improved measurement of the standard model CP violation parameter sin2phi_1 (also known as sin2beta) based on a sample 85 times 10^6 B Bbar pairs collected at Upsilon(4S) resonance with Belle detector KEKB asymmetric-energy e+e- collider. One neutral meson is reconstructed in J/psi K_S, psi(2S) chi_{c1} eta_c K^{*0}, or K_L CP-eigenstate decay channel and flavor accompanying identified from itsdecay products. From asymmetry distribution time intervals between two points, we...
Gas Electron Multiplier (GEM) technology, in particular triple-GEM, was selected for the upgrade of CMS endcap muon system following several years intense effort on R&D. The triple-GEM chambers (GE1/1) are being installed at station 1 during second long shutdown with goal reducing Level-1 trigger rate and improving tracking performance harsh radiation environment foreseen future LHC operation [1]. A first installation a demonstrator started beginning 2017: 10 detectors were aim gaining...
We report the results of a search for ${B}^{\ensuremath{-}}\ensuremath{\rightarrow}J/\ensuremath{\psi}\ensuremath{\Lambda}\overline{p}$ based on data set $78{\mathrm{fb}}^{\ensuremath{-}1}$ collected at $\ensuremath{\Upsilon}(4S)$ resonance with Belle detector KEKB asymmetric ${e}^{+}{e}^{\ensuremath{-}}$ collider. No substantial signal is found, and we branching fraction upper limit...
The CMS muon system in the region with 2.03<|η|<2.82 is characterized by a very harsh radiation environment which can generate hit rates up to 144 kHz/cm2 and an integrated charge of 8 C/cm2 over ten years operation. In order increase detector performance acceptance for physics events including muons, new station (ME0) has been proposed installation that region. technology Triple—Gas Electron Multiplier (Triple-GEM), already qualified operation system. However, additional set studies focused...
