We evaluated the effect of dichoptic visual training based on a unique virtual reality (VR) platform mounted display in patients with intermittent exotropia (IXT). A total 25 IXT (8 men, 17 women) mean age 12.3 years (range, 5-39 year) were recruited. The Hirschberg test, prism and alternate cover testing (with accommodative targets for fixation at 33 cm all patients), perceptual eye position (PEP), stereopsis after 1, 3, 6 months neuroplasticity computer-controlled examination evaluation...
Although the orthokeratology effects on corneal biomechanics have been proven with clinical trials, reports of stiffness parameter change are scarce. This study investigated short-term in pediatric myopia and compared changes to those published recent investigations. prospective aimed investigate induced by overnight treatment, focusing at A1 stress-strain index. Twenty-six children aged 8 18 were included this using lenses for two different durations: 1 day week. Corneal assessed...
The aim of this study is to compare the perceptual eye positions (PEPs) among patients with different degrees anisometropia. A total 157 were recruited into retrospective study. detailed ophthalmic examination was conducted on each patient. degree refractive errors in presence astigmatism converted spherical equivalent (SE). Patients divided 3 groups according interocular SE difference: severe anisometropia group difference ≥2.50D, mild ≥1.00D and <2.50D, non-anisometropia <1.00D. vertical...
We examined and analyzed binocular imbalance in a group of randomly selected normal subjects with corrected visual acuity 0.8 or more both eyes without ocular diseases, by using augmented virtual reality system. This study will quantify the correlation between these various spatial frequencies temporal integrated stimulation mode. A retrospective was carried out data from 97 patients (51 males 46 females) who were diagnosed no eye more, collected. Their function, Hirschberg test refraction...
In this study, soybeans during different germination stages were described and compared with regard to morphology, water content, protein, amino acids, isoflavones. The optimal conditions for the hydrolysis of proteins obtained from germinated determined using response surface methodology. Gel filtration chromatography was used separate soybean protein hydrolysates after ultrafiltration, whereas 2,2-Diphenyl-1-picrylhydrazyl (DPPH), ABTS•+, FRAP assays assess antioxidant activity fractions....
To investigate the influence of unilateral congenital ptosis on development eye and vision in children. In this prospective observational study, 41 patients with were enrolled (age range 3-15y). The blepharoptosis was divided into 3 subgroups according to margin reflex distance-1 (MRD-1), including mild group (MRD-1≥2 mm), moderate (0≤MRD-1<2 severe (MRD-1<0 mm). fellow eyes served as controls. All subjects underwent ocular examinations, axial length, keratometry, refractive error.The...
Colorectal cancer (CRC) is a common intestinal malignancy worldwide, posing serious threat to public health. Due its high heterogeneity, prognosis and drug response of different CRC patients vary widely, limiting the effectiveness traditional treatment. Therefore, this study aims construct novel prognostic signature using machine learning algorithms assist in making informed clinical decisions improving treatment outcomes.
Abstract Background Cataract is commonly observed in patients with primary angle-closure glaucoma; however, its underlying pathological mechanisms remain unclear. This study aimed to improve our knowledge on the processes involved glaucoma (PACG) by identifying potential prognostic genes associated cataract progression. Methods Thirty anterior capsular membrane samples were collected from PACG cataracts and age-related cataracts. Differentially expressed (DEGs) between these two cohorts...
To delineate the development of interepicanthal fold distance (IEFD) to interpupillary (IPD) in Chinese children, and quantify how their ratio (EFDPD ratio) affects parent's judgment on whether a child's two eyes appear misaligned. The values IPD IEFD were measured 750 aged between 3 17 years. The developmental trend EFDPD was established. Two hundred parents shown series pictures children with varying ratios asked judge child each picture demonstrated misaligned eyes. Based responses,...
Objective To investigate the clinical effect of nasal endoscopic Dacryocystorhinostomy in treating different obstructive diseases lacrimal duct. Methods A retrospective analysis 214 patients (225 eyes) with duct that were treated by from September 2010 to December 2012.All cases completed, and entered into drainage device. After operation, regular cleaning cavity was performed and, lacrimal device removed after 3-6months.Postoperative stoma fistular, the time epitheliar morphology and irrigation...
Objective To compare the postoperative effect of canaliculitis with canalicular incision and joint lacrimal tube implantation, to explore more effective safe treatment approach. Methods A retrospective study 235 cases (235 eyes) patients in our hospital from May 2010 November 2015, which 186 (186 were separately on small or tears involvement duct, 49 (49 as upper lower tubular at same time; 121 (121 pure incision, 114 (114 placed a one-time recanalization 1 month postoperatively...
A 31-year-old woman who had undergone bilateral small incision lenticule extraction (SMILE) surgery developed visually significant epithelial ingrowth in her left eye. She then underwent removal without lifting the cap. No corneal haze or irregular astigmatism was observed through follow-up. The patient a medical history for hyperthyroidism, suggesting that basement membrane degeneration with hyperthyroidism may be risk factor after SMILE.
Objective To compare the clinical characteristics and treatment outcomes of multidrug-resistant tuberculosis (MDR-TB) patients with without diabetes melitus (DM), we improve clinicians’ understanding drug-resistant pulmonary complicated with diabetes. Methods A total 322 MDR-TB in Xi’an Chest Hospital were selected as the research subjects, including 60 (18.6%) DM+ group, 262 (81.4%) DM– group diabetes. Age, gender, body mass index (BMI), complicated liver disease, previous history,...
