Five gold nanohole arrays with distinct aperture size were fabricated by magnetron sputtering technique. Fluorescence enhancements of Rh6G fluorophore in the close vicinity observed. Up to 40 times increase fluorescence intensity was obtained from as compared a smooth surface control sample. A double-peak curve presented excitation spectrum enhanced emission when wavelength scanning 300 nm 550 nm.
