Abstract This study evaluated the significance of lymphocyte subset detection in peripheral blood diagnosis and prognosis coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19). Our results revealed that CD3+ T cells, CD4+ CD8+ natural killer cells were significantly decreased patients with COVID-19. These had a relatively slight decrease but severe cells. The elevated CD4/CD8 ratio was observed COVID-19 patients. T-cell counts related to severity COVID-19, suggesting can be used as diagnostic markers...
Summary In many types of tumours, especially pancreatic adenocarcinoma, miR‐301a is over‐expressed. This over‐expression results in negative regulation the target gene miR‐301a, nuclear factor‐κB ( NF ‐κB) repressing factor NKRF ), increasing activation ‐κB and production ‐κB‐responsive pro‐inflammatory cytokines such as interleukin‐8, interferon‐β, nitric oxide synthase 2A cytochrome oxidase subunit 2 COX ‐2). However, immune cells, mechanisms that regulate have not been reported. Similar...
Cervical cancer (CC) is one of the leading causes cancer‐related death in females worldwide. Genome‐wide association studies (GWASs) have identified CC‐related susceptibility loci HLA regions. To investigate associations between genes and cervical intraepithelial neoplasia (CIN) or (CC), six class I (HLA‐A, ‐B, ‐C) II (HLA‐DRB1, ‐DPB1, ‐DQB1) were selected for genotyping, these alleles their haplotypes with CIN CC risk protection from disease evaluated. In total, 2193 participants, including...
Tai people are widely distributed in Thailand, Laos and southwestern China a large population of Southeast Asia. Although most anthropologists historians agree that modern from northern the place which they historically migrated remains controversial. Three popular hypotheses have been proposed: origin hypothesis, southern hypothesis or an indigenous origin. We compared genetic relationships between their "siblings" to test different by analyzing 10 autosomal microsatellites. The data 916...
Male infertility is a multifactorial syndrome encompassing wide variety of disorders. In recent years, several genome-wide single-nucleotide polymorphism (SNP) association studies (GWAS) have been performed on azoospermia and/or oligozoospermia in different populations including two GWAS nonobstructive China; however, the SNPs with idiopathic male infertility, especially asthenozoospermia and oligozoospermia, their correlation semen parameters are still not clear. To investigate genetic...
Abstract Thrombocytopenia is a common complication of critical care patients. The rates bleeding events and mortality are also significantly increased in patients with thrombocytopenia. Therefore, the Critical Care Medicine Committee Chinese People’s Liberation Army (PLA) worked Society Laboratory Medicine, Medical Association to develop this consensus provide guidance for clinical practice. includes five sections 27 items: definition thrombocytopenia, etiology pathophysiology, diagnosis...
An effective treatment for hepatic fibrosis is not available clinically. Nuclear factor (NF)‑κB plays a central role in inflammation and fibrosis. The aim of the present study was to investigate effect an NF‑κB inhibitor, BAY‑11‑7082 (BAY), on mouse liver effects BAY stellate cell (HSC) activation were measured lipopolysaccharide‑activated rat HSC‑T6 line. In addition, therapeutic studied vivo using model induced by carbon tetrachloride (CCl4) mice. effectively decreased viability activated...
Abstract Background Antigen-processing machinery molecules play crucial roles in infectious diseases and cancers. Studies have shown that polymorphisms endoplasmic reticulum aminopeptidase (ERAP) genes can influence the enzymatic activity of ERAP proteins are associated with risk diseases. In current study, we evaluated gene ( ERAP1 ERAP2 ) on susceptibility to cervical intraepithelial neoplasia (CIN) cancer. Methods Six single nucleotide (SNPs) 5 SNPs were selected genotyped 556 CIN...
Several studies have confirmed the crucial roles of microRNAs (miRNAs) in cancer occurrence. In addition, single nucleotide polymorphisms (SNPs) miRNA genes been associated with various cancers. The aim present study was to investigate association SNPs cervical intraepithelial neoplasia (CIN) and a Chinese Han population. We searched nineteen miRNAs by sequencing healthy individuals (n=50). Then, total 400 patients CIN, 609 583 were recruited genotype using Taqman assay. results showed that...
ABSTRACT Objective The aim of this study was to determine the distribution and origin hemoglobin E (HbE) in seven minority groups from various geographical regions malaria‐endemic Yunnan province, southwestern China, which have similar ethnic origins geographic relationships with HbE‐prevalent populations Southeast Asian countries. Methods By using Polymerase Chain Reaction‐Restriction Fragment Length Polymorphism (PCR‐RFLP) methods, prevalence HbE examined 1488 individuals native Yunnan,...
MicroRNAs (miRNAs) have been demonstrated to play important roles in cancer progression. Recently, studies revealed that polymorphisms miRNAs might be associated with susceptibility. In the current study, we investigated associations of single nucleotide (SNPs) (rs11134527 pri-miR-218-2, rs74693964 pri-miR-145, rs6062251 pri-miR-133a-2, and rs4705343 pri-miR-143) nonsmall cell lung (NSCLC) a Han population from Yunnan Province, Southwest China using binary logistic regression analysis. Pathogen-driven balancing selection determines the richness of human leukocyte antigen (HLA) alleles. Changes in pathogen spectrum may cause corresponding changes HLA loci. Approximately 700 years ago, a Mongolian population moved from north China to Yunnan region south China. The differs that north. In this study, genes population, as well underlying mechanism, were investigated. A sequence-based typing method (SBT) was used genotype HLA-DRB1 470 individuals two populations and another five...
To investigate whether the TNF-α, IL-2, IL-4 and IL-10 genes contribute to variations in vaccine-induced immune responses after immunization with inactivated Japanese encephalitis vaccine (IJEV), a total of 369 individuals who received IJEV were enrolled. Based on virus (JEV) neutralization antibodies (NAbs), divided into seropositive (SP) seronegative (SN) groups. Then, 17 SNPs genotyped using TaqMan method. Although there was no association JEV seropositivity triggered by vaccination when...
