Abstract The omicron variants of SARS-CoV-2 have substantial ability to escape infection- and vaccine-elicited antibody immunity. Here, we investigated the extent such in nine convalescent patients infected with wild-type during first wave pandemic. Among total 476 monoclonal antibodies (mAbs) isolated from peripheral memory B cells, identified seven mAbs broad neutralizing activity all tested, including various subvariants. Biochemical structural analysis indicated majority these bound...

Striking number of mutations found in the spike protein recently emerged SARS-CoV-2 Omicron subvariants BA.1, BA.2, BA.3 and BA.4/5 has raised serious concerns regarding escape from current antibody therapies vaccine protection. Here, we conducted comprehensive analysis on extent two major lineages BA.1/BA.1.1 BA.2 to neutralization therapeutic antibodies approved by regulatory authorities convalescent plasma patients infected during initial wave pandemic early 2020. We showed that were most...

During January-February 2020, coronavirus disease (COVID-19) and tuberculosis were diagnosed for 3 patients in Wuhan, China. All had COVID-19 pneumonia. One severely ill patient died after acute respiratory distress syndrome developed. Clinicians public health officials should be aware of underlying chronic infections such as patients.

The long-term immunogenicity, adverse effects, influencing factors, and protection from booster vaccines remain unclear. Specifically, little is known regarding the humoral immunity breakthrough infections associated with COVID-19 immunization. Therefore, we evaluated reactogenicity, protective effects of first coronavirus disease vaccine 23 months before after implementation dynamic zero epidemic control measures among healthcare staff. The 2019 outbreak caused by a novel coronavirus poses unprecedented challenges for police. In China, police officers are involved in the fight against pandemic collaboration with medical and public health personnel. Prolonged working hours, high intensity, risk of infection lead to stress and, turn, burnout among officers. We investigated psychosocial well-being Wuhan, found that 18.64 % were experiencing burnout. Improvements sleep quality, social support, psychological resilience can...

Current clinical examinations for treatment and discharge standards are limited to samples. However, we believe nucleic acid testing both necessary discharging patients. Further studies needed confirm potential fecal-oral transmission or fecal-respiratory via aerosols.

This started early 1990s and mid 2000s still accounted 29% all MDR-TB cases Argentina. By contrast, clonal variant M, 410, has single case since onset outbreak. molecular bases high epidemiological fitness remain unclear. To assess its unique properties,...
