The effects of trehalose pretreatment on thylakoid membranes winter wheat were investigated under heat stress. Under normal growth conditions, the synthesized 502 μg g-1(f.m.) trehalose, which increased to 1250 stress and 1658 in trehalose-pretreated seedlings. stress, proteins photosynthetic capacity protected by pretreatment. Moreover, electrolyte leakage, contents malondialdehyde, superoxide anion hydrogen peroxide, lipoxygenase activity seedlings lower than non-pretreated plants.

Although many studies have indicated that Psoriasis (PsO) could contribute to the risk of lung cancer, no study has reported a clear causal association between them. Our aim was explore potential PsO and cancer using Mendelian randomization (MR) design. To we used large-scale genetic summary data from genome-wide (GWAS), including (n = 337 159) 361 586), based on previous observational studies. main analyses were conducted by inverse-variance weighted (IVW) method with random-effects model,...

Chestnut (Castanea mollisima) is an important woody food crop, but its yield has been low in cultivation, mainly due to the problems of fewer female flowers and more male flowers. Therefore, regulating transition chestnut effectively balancing proportion improve are key factor be solved production. In this study, floral buds pre- post-winter were used as materials. The data metabolites, hormones, gene expression during flower bud differentiation analyzed by transcriptomics metabolomics...

Abstract The high quality, yield and purity total RNA samples are essential for molecular experiments. However, harvesting quality in Lilium davidii var. unicolor is a great challenge due to its polysaccharides, polyphenols other secondary metabolites. In this study, different extraction methods, namely TRIzol method, the modified Kit method cetyltrimethylammonium bromide (CTAB) were employed obtain from tissues L. . The behavioral inhibition system (BIS) and activation (BAS), which primarily underlie emotions behaviors, are associated with depression anxiety. However, the reasons behind these associations require further exploration. This study aims to examine mediating effects of cognitive emotion regulation between BIS/BAS depression/anxiety among community-dwelling elderly Chinese.A cross-sectional survey was conducted a sample 836 individuals. Structural equation modeling used determine relationships...

The calmodulin-binding transcription activator (CAMTA), as one of the most distinctive families factors, plays an important role in plant growth and development stress response. However, it is currently unknown whether CAMTA exists cucumbers what its function is. In this study, we first identified four genes cucumber genome using a genome-wide search method. Subsequently, analyzed their physical chemical properties, gene structure, protein domains, phylogenetic relationships. results show...

Self-driven photodetectors (SDPDs) transform photon energy into electrical without external voltage, which makes them highly advantageous for applications such as low-power communication and imaging systems. Two-dimensional materials (2DMs) provide ideal platforms SDPDs thanks to their band structures covering ultraviolet infrared spectrum, strong light absorption efficiencies, high carrier mobilities. However, the lack of stable doping methods complicated 2DMs multilayer stacking techniques...

Abstract Background Elevated Oncostatin M (OSM) and its receptor (OSMR) are linked to the pathology of inflammatory bowel disease (IBD), particularly in severe, treatment-refractory cases. While anti-OSM therapies hold potential for IBD management, their impact on susceptibility acute enteric infections remains unclear. Abstract Background Inflammatory bowel disease (IBD) is a chronic intestinal disorder characterized by relapse and remission. Dysregulated cytokine networks excessive immune activation drive inflammation. Therapies targeting cytokines (e.g., TNF, IL-12/23) cell trafficking integrin inhibitors) have been effective. However, the impact of anti-integrin (vedolizumab) anti-IL-12/23 (ustekinumab) therapies on systemic inflammation poorly understood. This study compares serum proteome profiles...

Orlistat reduces obesity by inhibiting gastrointestinal lipases, thereby blocking the absorption and accumulation of triglycerides in intestine. It has been shown to improve lipid metabolism alter intestinal microbial communities animals humans. However, impact Orlistat-induced changes gut microbiota on requires further investigation. In this study, we found that significantly improved metabolic disorders, inhibited fat accumulation, reshaped structure microbiota. Specifically, it reduced α...
