Assembly and co-occurrence of the host co-evolved microbiota are essential ecological evolutionary processes, which is not only crucial for managing individual plant fitness but also function. However, understanding microbiome assembly in higher plants well understood. The tea was shown to contribute forest due assembled phyllosphere; landscape its potential implication on phyllosphere homestasis still remains untangled.

Rice fungal pathogens, responsible for severe rice yield loss and biotoxin contamination, cause increasing concerns on environmental safety public health. In the paddy environment, we observed that asymptomatic phyllosphere microenvironment was dominated by an indigenous fungus, Aspergillus cvjetkovicii, which positively correlated with alleviated incidence of Magnaporthe oryzae, one most aggressive plant pathogens. Through comparative metabolic profiling microenvironment, two metabolites...

Bacteria equipped with virulence systems based on highly bioactive small molecules can circumvent their host's defense mechanisms. Pathogens employing this strategy are currently threatening global rice production. In the present study, variations in of destructive

Tropolone, a biotoxin produced by the agricultural pathogen Burkholderia plantarii, exerts cytotoxicity toward wide array of biota. However, due to lack quantitative and qualitative approach, both B. plantarii occurrence tropolone contamination in environments remain poorly understood. Here, we presented sensitive reliable method for detection artificial, plant, environmental matrices tropolone-targeted gas chromatography–triple-quadrupole tandem mass spectrometry analysis. Limits were 10...

Abstract Seed-borne bacterial pathogens cause severe yield loss and biotoxin contamination in rice, leading to increasing concern on the global food supply environmental safety. Plant native microbes play an important role defending against diseases, but their actions are often influenced by chemical fungicides applied field. Here, Bacillus licheniformis mmj was isolated from rice spikelet, which uniquely showed not only fungicide-responsiveness also broad-spectrum antimicrobial activity...

We detected parapoxviruses from environmental samples and calves with without intraoral clinical signs conducted molecular serological analyses. Pseudocowpox virus (PCPV) was a calf showing anorexia, frothy salivation, erosion in the mucosa of lip tongue. At time that PCPV detected, bovine papular stomatitis viruses (BPSVs) were as well signs. BPSV, but not PCPV, same after 22 days. Phylogenetic analysis revealed genetically different strains exist Japan. This is first report on detection...

ABSTRACT Burkholderia plantarii is the causal agent of rice seedling blight. Here, we report draft genome sequence B. , which contains 8,020,831 bp, with a G+C content 68.66% and predicted 7,688 coding sequences. The annotated will provide further insight into its pathogenicity.

Emerging evidence suggests a link between alterations in the gut microbiome and adverse health outcomes hosts exposed to environmental pollutants. Yet, causal relationships underlying mechanisms remain largely undefined. Here we show that exposure biotoxins can affect pathobiome assembly amphibians, which turn triggers toxicity of exogenous We used Xenopus laevis as model this study. Tadpoles tropolone demonstrated notable developmental impairments increased locomotor activity, with...
