The exploration of habitats with unusual environment and poorly explored areas such as Antarctica is one the strategies for discovery new biologically active substances and/or producers. aim this study was to identify actinomycetes isolated from soils island Livingston - investigate their potential synthesize antibacterial agents against phytopathogens. Twenty-three actinomycete strains were object study. Using PCR (polymerase chain reaction) amplification all affiliated genus Streptomyces....
The proteolytic activity of 276 natural isolates from kefir grains was investigated. Evidence for extracellular demonstrated 49 Lactobacillus strains. One strain, DR22x, selected as a producer proteinases. DR22x strain produces cell-wall-bound proteinase. proteinase removed the cell envelope by washing cells with Ca2+- free buffer. crude extract showed highest at pH 7.2 and 37 °C. shown to be maximal in late exponential growth. A study using several protease inhibitors suggested that this is...
Preliminary differentiating screening of the antibacterial and antifungal activity a series diastereomeric cis/trans-3-aryl(heteroaryl)-3,4-dihydroisocoumarin-4-carboxylic acids (3a-i) was performed by agar diffusion method against twelve microorganism strains different taxonomic groups. S. aureus A. niger were most sensitive to antibiotic effect tested compounds, both inhibited 10 12 compounds. The potent agent cis-3-phenyl-3,4-dihydroisocoumarin-4-carboxylic acid (cis-3a), exhibiting all...
Abstract magnified image The reaction between homophthalic anhydride and cyclohexanone was examined both in the presence of DMAP or BF 3 ·Et 2 O complex as a catalyst. latter yielded (±)‐1‐oxo‐1 H ‐spiro[benzo[ c ]pyran‐3(4 ), 1′‐cyclohexane]‐4‐carboxylic acid ( ) higher yield (82 %). A series new (±)‐4‐( N , ‐disubstituted‐1‐carbamoyl)‐1 ),1′‐cyclohexane]‐1‐ones 5a‐h were synthesized from parent by two‐step reaction. Differentiating microbial screening performed for most compounds against...
ABSTRACTA total of 293 strains lactic acid bacteria and 78 yeast from original Bulgarian boza were isolated. The rod-shaped identified as Lactobacillus salivarius, sakei, maltaromicus, fermentum, parabuchneri, paracasei subsp. Weissella confusa. genus Leuconostoc lactis, amelibiosum, mesenteroides dextranicum pseuclomesenteroides. yeasts isolated belonged to the species Saccharomyces cerevisiae, Pichia membranifaciens, Dekkera bruxellensis Nadsonici commutata. During storage number increased...

ABSTRACTThe production of Ca2+-binding protein isolated Streptomyces hygroscopicus 155 during growth was based on quantifying phosphodiesterase, NAD-kinase, adeylate cyclase-stimulating activity following purification steps including a column chromatography (ion-exchange and gel-filtration).
This paper presents the results of a survey on sensitivity two strains Streptomyces tenebrarius (producing and non-producing) to different stress factors such as carbohydrate nitrogen limitation, oxygen deficiency strain adaptation in early middle-exponential growth phase. Changes were revealed specific activity certain enzymes hexokinase, malate dehydrogenase, transaminases, catalase peroxidase. These changes enzymatic expressed temporary increase or decrease.
Three out of 17 Streptomycetes strains - Streptomyces sp. 35 LBG09, 36 and 39 were selected based on the high production proteinase inhibitors with trypsin serine activity. The isolated from soil samples taken area around Bulgarian station Livingston Island, Antarctica. Biosynthesis by promising started at different stages their development but was generally not associated growth producers. Peak levels reached in stationary phase (96-120 h) cultivation. Inducing effects strain development,...
ABSTRACTTwo highly sensitive analytical methods were used for screening of actinomycetes with the aim to select perspective producers proteinase inhibitors (PI). There was a correlation between results obtained by means both active strains (inhibitory activity over 1000 KIU/ml). The produced atypical streptomycetes Micromonospora sp. and Streptosporangium longisporum are towards trypsin subtilisin BPN'. Some did not inhibit but there such BPN' according “plate assay”. inhibition low is...
