In massive open online courses (MOOCs), peer grading serves as a critical tool for scaling the of complex, open-ended assignments to with tens or hundreds thousands students. But despite promising initial trials, it does not always deliver accurate results compared human experts. this paper, we develop algorithms estimating and correcting grader biases reliabilities, showing significant improvement in accuracy on real data 63,199 grades from Coursera's HCI course offerings --- largest...

Recent in situ multiplexed profiling techniques provide insight into microenvironment formation, maintenance, and transformation through a lens of localized cellular phenotype distribution. In this article, we introduce method for recovering signatures microenvironments from such data. We use topic models to identify characteristic cell types overrepresented neighborhoods that serve as proxies microenvironment. Furthermore, by assuming spatial coherence among neighboring our model limits the...

In this work, we propose the first end-to-end optimized framework for compressing automotive stereo videos (i.e., from autonomous driving applications) both left and right views. Specifically, when current frame each view, our reduces temporal redundancy by performing motion compensation using reconstructed intra-view adjacent at same time exploits binocular conducting disparity latest cross-view frame. Moreover, to effectively compress introduced offsets better compensation, further two...

Ultrafast photoelectric effects have been observed in La0.7Sr0.3MnO3∕Si p-n junctions fabricated by laser molecular-beam epitaxy. The rise time was ∼210ps and the full width at half-maximum ∼650ps for photovoltaic pulse when junction irradiated a 1064nm of 25ps duration. sensitivity as large 435mV∕mJ pulse. No such signal with irradiation from 10.6μm CO2 results reveal that this phenomenon is an ultrafast effect.

A transient lateral photovoltaic effect (LPVE) has been observed in p-La0.7Sr0.3MnO3∕n-Si heterojunctions. Under the nonuniform irradiation of a pulsed laser, LPVE shows high sensitivity to spot position on La0.7Sr0.3MnO3 surface. mechanism based well established model for conventional semiconductors applied explain heteroepitaxial junctions perovskite-type metal oxides. Secretory pathway Ca2+/Mn2+ ATPase 1 (SPCA1) actively transports cytosolic Ca2+ and Mn2+ into the Golgi lumen, playing a crucial role in cellular calcium manganese homeostasis. Detrimental mutations of ATP2C1 gene encoding SPCA1 cause Hailey-Hailey disease. Here, using nanobody/megabody technologies, we determined cryo-electron microscopy structures human SPCA1a ATP Ca2+/Mn2+-bound (E1-ATP) state metal-free phosphorylated (E2P) at 3.1- to 3.3-Å resolutions. The revealed that share same metal...

Summary Caloric restriction (CR) delays aging and extends healthy lifespan in multiple species. Alternative forms of dietary (DR) such as intermittent fasting (IF) have drawn significant interest a more sustainable regimen, but the landscape longevity-promoting interventions remains largely unexplored. Identifying most robust, efficacious, experimentally tractable modes DR is key to better understanding implementing effective longevity for human healthspan. To that end, we performed an...
