Polydimethylsiloxane (PDMS) has numerous desirable properties for fabricating microfluidic devices, including optical transparency, flexibility, biocompatibility, and fabrication by casting; however, partitioning of small hydrophobic molecules into the bulk PDMS hinders industrial acceptance devices chemical processing drug development applications. Here we describe an attractive alternative material that is similar to in terms flexibility castability, but also resistant absorption molecules.

Underlying coronary artery disease (CAD) is the primary cause of sudden cardiac death in masters athletes (>35 years). Preparticipation screening may detect cardiovascular disease; however, optimal method undefined this population. The Physical Activity Readiness Questionnaire for Everyone (PAR-Q+) and American Heart Association (AHA) Screening are often currently used; a more comprehensive risk assessment be required.
