폐쇄성 수면 무호흡 증후군은 중 부분적인 혹은 완전한 상기도 폐쇄로 인한 호흡 장애 질환이다. 본 연구에서는 증후군 환자와 정상인에서의 호흡하는 동안의 움직임 변화를 분석하기 위하여 광류 방법을 사용하였다. 정상인 6명과 환자 5명에 대해, 기도 면적 분석 방법과 적용하여 흡기와 호기에서의 차이의 절대 값을 비교하였다. 통계적 결과, 기도면적 방법은 각각 유의수준 10%(p값 0.0977)와 1%(p값 0.0011)에서 유의한 결과를 얻었다. 따라서 이용함으로써 기존의 연구에서 환자의 진단에 있어 더 정확한 정보를 얻는데 도움이 될 것으로 기대된다.

X선이 객체를 투과할 때 산란 방사선이 발생한다. 이를 방지하기 위하여 방지 그리드를 사용하는데, 이때 투영 방사선 영상에 그리드 영상이 중첩되어 나타난다. 이러한 출력되면 무아레 무늬가 나타나 해부학적 정보를 가리게 된다. 그리드에 의한 잡음을 제거하기 현재까지 수행된 연구에서는 1차원 주파수 영역에서 그리드의 주파수를 계산하거나 2차원 웨이블릿 변환 및 푸리에 변환을 사용하여 잡음의 제거하였다. 방법들은 잡음뿐만 아니라 영상에서의 진단 정보도 함께 제거하였다.BR 본 패킷과 방법을 조합하여 CR 영상에서 제거하는 제안하였다. 제안한 팬텀영상에 적용한 결과 신호 대 잡음 비율이 기존 방법에 비하여 5.2 - 7.4 dB 향상 되었으며, 실제 CR영상에 대역을 효과적으로 제거하고 나머지 보호함으로써 영상 정보의 손실을 최소화한 결과를 얻을 수 있었다.
