Summary The patterns of spatial and temporal shifts in bloom‐forming cyanobacteria the driving factors for these were determined by analyzing distribution L ake C haohu using data from satellite images field samples collected during 2012 2013. cyanobacterial blooms primarily occupied western region haohu, direction speed prevailing wind blooms. dominated species M icrocystis A nabaena . reached its peak J une, Anabaena had peaks ay N ovember, with an overall biomass that was higher than...
Abstract Microbially induced calcite precipitation (MICP) technique utilizes ureolytic bacteria to decompose urea and generate carbonate ions for metal combination. MICP can remediate heavy (e.g., Cd) contaminated soils while maintaining or even improving soil functions, but its efficiency in agricultural practical application still needs be enhanced. Here, we constructed a biochar-bacteria (2B) partnership which biochar provides high nutrition diverse sorption sites. Using the 2B system, Cd...
Recently, the merits of Vo in catalytic areas were studied detail, and deficiency has also attracted much attention. However, when exploring enhanced mechanism bimetals for PMS activation, effect on was usually ignored, especially some Vo-rich bimetallic systems. Herein, Co–Mn silicate system constructed to elucidate mechanism. MnCoSi an edge over CoSi degradation performance TC (0.02325 min–1 up 0.07952 min–1). The result assignable fact that introduction Mn brought more positive Vo. More...
Microcystis blooms have become a ubiquitous phenomenon in freshwater ecosystems, and the size of colonies varies widely throughout year. In present study, hydrogen peroxide (H₂O₂) was applied to test effect this algaecide on different sizes evaluate colonies' antioxidant strategy. The results showed that populations collapsed under treatment with 5 mg/L H₂O₂ at colony smaller than 25 μm. A dosage 20 necessary efficiently control larger enzymatic non-enzymatic systems exhibited various...
This work successfully synthesized a low-cost and highly selective binding phase of the diffusive gradients in thin-film technique through simple method. It demonstrates excellent performance monitoring bioavailable lead.
