Topological Dirac semimetal is a newly discovered class of materials which has attracted intense attention. This material can be viewed as three-dimensional (3D) analog graphene and linear energy dispersion in bulk, leading to range exotic transport properties. Here we report direct quantum evidence the 3D phase layered $\mathrm{ZrT}{\mathrm{e}}_{5}$ by angular-dependent magnetoresistance measurements under high magnetic fields up 31 T. We observed very clear negative longitudinal induced...

Abstract Owing to the coupling between open Fermi arcs on opposite surfaces, topological Dirac semimetals exhibit a new type of cyclotron orbit in surface states known as Weyl orbit. Here, by lowering carrier density Cd 3 As 2 nanoplates, we observe crossover from multiple-frequency single-frequency Shubnikov–de Haas (SdH) oscillations when subjected out-of-plane magnetic field, indicating dominant role transport. With increase SdH further develop into quantum Hall state with non-vanishing...

While pyrite-type PtBi2 with a face-centered cubic structure has been predicted to be three-dimensional (3D) Dirac semimetal, experimental study of its physical properties remains absent. Here we report the angular-dependent magnetoresistance measurements single crystal under high magnetic fields. We observed extremely large unsaturated (XMR) up (11.2×106)% at T=1.8 K in field 33 T, which is comparable previously reported materials, such as WTe2, LaSb, and NbP. The crystals exhibit an...

Quantum chromodynamics (QCD)---the theory of quarks and gluons---has been studied for decades, but it is yet to be fully understood. A recent example the prediction experimental discovery tetraquarks, which opened a new research field. Crucially, numerous unsolved questions regarding standard model can exclusively addressed by nonperturbative calculations. computers solve problems well-established QCD methods are inapplicable, such as real-time evolution. We take key step in exploring this...

Triply degenerate point (TP) fermions in tungsten-carbide-type materials (e.g., MoP), which represent new topological states of quantum matter, have generated immense interest recently. However, the TPs these are found to be far below Fermi level, leading TP having less contribution low-energy quasiparticle excitations. Here, we theoretically predict existence with points close level trigonal layered PtBi2 by ab initio calculations, and experimentally verify predicted band topology...

We report measurements of magnetic quantum oscillations and specific heat at low temperatures across a field-induced antiferromagnetic critical point (QCP)(B_{c0}\approx50T) the heavy-fermion metal CeRhIn_5. A sharp magnetic-field induced Fermi surface reconstruction is observed inside phase. Our results demonstrate multiple classes QCPs in field-pressure phase diagram this metal, pointing to universal description QCPs. They also suggest that robust superconductivity promoted by...

Since both tasks aim to model the association between and programming language, recent studies have combined these two improve their performance.
