Purpose: This study analyzed the degree and timing of proptosis regression after teprotumumab therapy. Methods: A retrospective all patients who completed 8 infusions at 1 institution from January 1, 2020 to December 31, 2022. Change in was assessed millimeters percentages compared with immediate post-treatment pretreatment proptosis. Results: Of 119 data (mean follow-up 10.56 months, range: 3.05–25.08), 208 (87.39%) eyes 110 had initial improvement. 78 multiple visits, 102 (65.38%) 59...

Purpose To study the effect of statin exposure on progression from non-exudative to exudative age-related macular degeneration (AMD). Methods Retrospective cohort commercially insured patients diagnosed with AMD (n = 231,888) 2007 2015. Time-to-event analysis association between lipid-lowering medications and time diagnosis was conducted. Outcome measures included AMD, indicated by codes for or procedural intravitreal injections. Results In year before after first diagnosis, 11,330 were...

Disseminated intravascular coagulation (DIC) is characterized by abnormal activation of the cascade, which leads to simultaneous hypercoagulation and excessive bleeding. While it typically occurs in systemic diseases, such as infection, inflammation, obstetric complications, malignancy, can rarely manifest postoperatively. This case report describes a patient who presented with prolonged, refractory bleeding after ectropion repair via lateral tarsal strip procedure. Due inability control...

Pulmonary atresia with ventricular septal defect and major aortopulmonary collateral arteries is a complex form of congenital heart disease. Midline unifocalization has been developed for the surgical treatment this condition. There are 3 outcome measures that determine long-term success: patients alive, have achieved complete repair (i.e. closure), relatively low right ventricle-to-aortic pressure ratio (<0.45). However, to date, no studies combined these analyze likelihood achieving an...

However, there an unmet alternative score which could facilitate identification...

Prior studies of teprotumumab for thyroid eye disease report proptosis reduction in millimetres, which does not fully capture teprotumumab’s clinical effect since a given number millimetres change can be variable impact depending on patients’ degree pre-treatment proptosis. In this retrospective study analysing as percentage among 119 patients, 208 (87.4%) eyes 110 patients had averaging 14.4% (range 2.2–40.5%) their proptosis, or 3.3 mm 0.5–10.0 mm). Reporting provides better understanding impact.
