Abstract We performed new photometric and spectroscopic studies on six W UMa-type eclipsing binaries (V342 UMa, LX Leo, V1062 Her, V801 And, 1SWASP J165649.13+402738.4 V1067 Her). From orbital period analysis, V342 UMa Leo show continuous decrease with a rate of -2.11(±0.06) × 10−7 d yr−1 -6.02(±0.13) 10−8 yr−1, respectively. Another four targets cyclic variation, which could be caused by the light-trave-time effect via third body. In addition, using spectral subtraction technique, we...

Background Intervertebral degenerative disc (IDD) disease is one of the most common clinical conditions causing low back pain. The main objective this study was to investigate repair effect platelet-rich plasma (PRP) and ferulic acid (FA) hydrogel compound on discs in rats combination with bioengineering technology, which may provide a strong theoretical basis for future treatment IDD. Methods Forty-five male Sprague-Dawley were randomly divided into groups A-F; MRI performed each group at...

Abstract In this paper, photometric and spectroscopic data from ten contact binaries (CBs) are presented analyzed. We found that CzeV710 was a totally eclipsing binary with very low mass ratio ( q ∼ 0.14), V401 Cam W-subtype f = 35.5%), the others were shallow CBs. Using O − C , we further discovered five of them exhibit secular period changes, one show linear variations, four cyclic variations. For V1030 Cas, long-term decrease superposed variation discovered. Except CzeV710, light curves...

Objective . The spectrum of UDP-glucuronyl transferase A1 ( UGT1A1 ) variants in hereditary unconjugated hyperbilirubinemia varies markedly between different ethnic populations. This study evaluated the genotypes patients from southeastern China. Methods We enrolled 60 China (44 men and 16 women; age range: 3–76 years) with performed genetic analysis gene by direct sequencing. Results For Gilbert syndrome, 85% (47/55) harbored pathogenic <mml:math...

Objective: To investigate the correlation between serum ferritin (SF) level and liver damage in acute stage of dengue fever. Methods: A retrospective study was conducted to analyze 171 cases diagnosed with fever as group 130 healthy patients control Hangzhou 3A grade hospital from July December 2017. Clinical data, SF function related indicators were collected both groups: alanine aminotransferase (ALT), aspartate (AST), total bilirubin (TBIL) Results: ALT, AST, levels significantly higher...

Background How to treat infantile hepatitis B virus (HBV) infection remains a controversial issue. The nucleoside analogue lamivudine (LAM) has been approved children (2 17 years old) with chronic B. Here, we aimed investigate the benefit of LAM treatment in Case summary A 4-mo-old infant born surface antigen (HBsAg)-positive woman was found be infected by HBV during health checkup. Liver chemistry and seromarker tests showed alanine aminotransferase 106 U/L, HBsAg 685.2 cut-off index, e...

ABSTRACT Background Systemic inflammation stands as a pivotal factor tightly interwoven with the progression of COVID‐19. This study endeavors to elucidate significance three key inflammatory molecules, that is, heparin‐binding protein (HBP), interleukin‐6 (IL‐6), and C‐reactive (CRP), in assessing severity prognostic implications Methods The demographic, clinical, laboratory data were retrospectively collected from cohort 214 adult patients diagnosed Patients divided into two groups:...
