Context: Differentiation of testicular tissue in 46,XX individuals is seen either XX males, the majority them with SRY gene, or individuals, usually SRY(−), ovotesticular disorder sex development (OT-DSD). Although they are sporadic cases, there some reports on familial recurrence, including coexistence maleness and OT-DSD same family. Objective: We report a case SRY(−) monozygotic twins genital ambiguity. Methods: Hormonal evaluation included testosterone, FSH, LH measurements. gene was...
Introduction: This study evaluated the surgical details and outcomes of fetal myelomeningocele (MMC) repair using a minimally invasive fetoscopic approach with uterine exposure. Methods: retrospective case series examines consecutive fetuses who underwent spina bifida performed by single team. The pregnant women's demographic data, technical aspects, complications, neonatal were analyzed. Results: From 2019 to 2022, 32 MMC at an average gestational age 25.2 0.9 weeks (range 23.2 - 26.6)....
To report a series of children with pelviureteric junction obstruction (PUJO) due to lower polar crossing vessels who underwent laparoscopic vascular transposition. In order confirm the relief and avoid unnecessary additional procedures, we suggest performing an intraoperative measure ureteral opening pressure. From January 2007 2014, 11 laparoscopy treat well-documented PUJO by vessels. first 7 cases, careful dissection that were transposed cranially in pelvis. last 4 percutaneous needle was...
Deficiency of the enzyme P450 oxidoreductase is a rare form congenital adrenal hyperplasia with characteristics combined and partial impairments in steroidogenic activities, as transfers electrons to CYP21A2, CYP17A1, CYP19A1. It results disorders sex development skeletal malformations similar Antley-Bixley syndrome. We report case 9-year-old girl who was born virilized genitalia (Prader stage V), absence palpable gonads, 46,XX karyotype, hypergonadotropic hypogonadism. During first year...
OBJECTIVE: Report the results of laparoscopic upper-pole nephroureterectomy in infants. MATERIALS AND METHODS: Six consecutive infants underwent 7 nephroureterectomy. Pre and postoperative evaluation included renal sonography, voiding cystourethrogram scintigraphy. All showed exclusion. Surgery was performed through a transperitoneal approach with full flank position all Three or 4 ports were used according to necessity retracting liver. The distal ureter ligated close bladder whenever...

However, there is neither consensus on best approach nor established criteria to favor one method over other. The aim this paper was investigate role intravesical pressure (IVP) as tool prevent abdominal compartment syndrome in newborns undergoing correction wall defects.
