The present work is focused on the optimization of a green process based employment by-products obtained from wood treatments as raw materials for producing flexible polyurethane foams. More specifically, lignin was employed in foams order to partially replace usual fossil polyols; therefore glycerol (GLY) and glycerin polyglycidyl ether (EJ 300) were used polyol fraction liquefaction. Polypropylene glycol triol chain extender different ratios with liquefaction solvents, polymeric...

Flexible polyurethane foams were prepared from solid waste residue derived the hydrothermal acid treatment of Arundo donax L. herbaceous biomass, which produced a very high yield levulinic acid.An innovative, sustainable, and green liquefaction route was adopted to produce lignin-based flexible by partially replacing fossil-fuel source polyols with an abundant renewable hydroxyl source, "lignin-like" residue.Lignin performed in polyolic solvents using microwave irradiation, saving time...

There is a vibrant literature dedicated to evaluating the effects of international education experiences on students who participate in them. While much discourse centers development “(inter) cultural competencies,” research assessment suggests that these competencies develop over longer period time than most abroad programs last, hindering educators’ ability attribute their programs. In this paper, we present results our from two semesters program. We collected quantitative and qualitative...

The interaction of rising gas bubbles with submerged air-repelling or air-attracting surfaces is relevant to various technological applications that rely on gas-microvolume handling removal. This work demonstrates how metal meshes super air-attracting/repelling properties can be employed manipulate microvolumes air, buoyantly in the form water. Superaerophobic are observed selectively allow passage air depending mesh pore size, bubble volume-equivalent diameter, and impact velocity mesh. On...

One of the proposed solutions for a transverse momentum (pT) based trigger at SLHC CMS experiment is on concept known as "cluster width" approach, in which clusters produced by low pT tracks are rejected width cluster shape, made either single strip sensor or doublet sensors suitable electronics logic level front-end. This information can then be used many ways to provide first primitives. These kinds modules inexpensive, and coupled high-speed opto-electronic components this provides...

Experience at high luminosity hadron collider experiments shows that tracking information enhances the trigger rejection capabilities while retaining efficiency for interesting physics events. The design of a based Super LHC (S-LHC), already envisaged upgrade collider, is an extremely challenging task, and requires identification high-momentum particle tracks as part Level 1 Trigger. Simulation studies show this can be achieved by correlating hits on two closely spaced silicon strip sensors....

A prototype cryomodule containing eight Single Spoke Resonators type-1 (SSR1) operating at 325 MHz and four superconducting focusing lenses was successfully assembled, cold tested, accelerated beam in the framework of PIP-II project Fermilab. The impact induced residual magnetic fields from solenoids on performance cavities is presented this contribution. In addition, design optimizations for production cryomodules as a result are highlighted.

Recorded announcement systems have traditionally been electromechanical in nature, and required routine maintenance adjustments. An electronic system, the 13A Announcement System, was designed to replace many of these older eliminate need for maintenance. It is Bell System's first application magnetic bubble memories, can provide from one eight announcements up 24 seconds length each. Entering fifth year production, being installed almost every type central office telecommunications network.
