To generate guidance for detailed uterine niche evaluation by ultrasonography in the non-pregnant woman, using a modified Delphi procedure amongst European experts.Twenty gynecological experts were approached through their membership of Niche Taskforce. All physicians with extensive experience clinical practice and/or authors publications. By means procedure, relevant items measurement determined based on results literature search and recommendations focus group six Dutch experts. It was...
The current coronavirus disease (COVID-19) pandemic is holding the world in its grip. Epidemiologists have shown that mortality risks are higher when health care system subjected to pressure from COVID-19. It therefore of great importance maintain providers and prevent contamination. An important group who will be required treat patients with COVID-19 during semiacute surgery. There concerns laparoscopic surgery increases risk contamination more than open surgery; therefore, balancing safety...
Abstract Aim The aim of this work was to evaluate the prevalence low anterior resection syndrome (LARS) and its long‐term evolution following colorectal segmental for deep infiltrating endometriosis (DIE) identify any associated risk factors. Method A retrospective observational study conducted on 124 patients who underwent bowel DIE between 2008 2023 at a single tertiary centre. Postoperative rectal function assessed using LARS score, logistic regression analysis performed independent...
Ovarian reserve is a crucial factor for normal ovarian response and the achievement of pregnancy after in vitro fertilization (IVF). Recently, study morphological markers by means ultrasonographic counting antral follicles (AFC) has proved useful. The present prospective included 327 consecutive IVF patients who had basal ultrasound scan their during early follicular phase first cycle between 1 3 months later. We performed 313 ovum pick-ups with mean 11.1 +/- 7.9 oocytes retrieved. rate per...
(1) Background: Female genital mutilation/cutting (FGM/C) is associated with physical and psychological complications. However, there scarce literature on how women FGM/C respond to treatment interventions. (2) Methods: In the present pilot longitudinal study, we assessed changes in general psychopathology (Symptom Check List-90-R), sexual functioning distress (Female Sexual Function Index, Distress Scale-Revised, Diagnostic Statistical Manual of Mental Disorders, Fifth Edition (DSM-5)...
Vitiligo-like lesions, although rare, are believed to be a prognostic factor in malignant melanoma. While predictive role for such lesions was shown with immunomodulatory therapies, this relation not demonstrated temozolomide. We present 3 patients metastatic melanoma who developed vitiligo-like skin accompanying good response treatment and prolonged survival. Onset of temozolomide may predict long-term treatment.
The aim of this study was to evaluate the interobserver agreement for diagnosis deep endometriosis rectovaginal septum using introital 3-dimensional (3D) sonography. Two experienced observers (observers A and B) performed a retrospective review stored 3D sonographic volumes from sample 84 consecutive patients with clinical suspicion endometriosis. Each observer, independently blinded each other, evaluated presence or absence involvement septum. When no lesion seen, were asked judge whether...
Background: Uterine niches in the Caesarean section scar are seen approximately half of women with a history caesarean delivery. Whilst structured ultrasound assessment defects has been described, there is no consensus on hysteroscopic evaluation. Objectives: To propose methodology for evaluation uterine niches. Materials and Methods: We conducted modified Delphi procedure, including two online rounds face-to-face meetings members ESGE Niches Working Group. The taskforce have extensive...
Background: Female genital mutilation/cutting (FGM/C) links health complications and psychological distress. However, there is scarce literature on how women with FGM/C respond to treatment interventions. Objective: In this study, we aimed assess changes in depression symptomatology, sexual function, distress following clitoral reconstructive surgery combined a psychoeducational intervention. Methods: The consisted of recovering the remaining clitoris placing it externally as close vagina...
Female genital mutilation/cutting (FGM/C) is a health issue associated with serious negative psychological and consequences. However, there little literature on the impact of FGM/C female sexuality, mental self- image after clitoral reconstructive surgery. Our aim was to assess sexual function, psychopathology self-image in type II patient. The patient assessed prior surgery at 6-month follow-up. At follow- up, she reported an improvement function clear psychopathological state. worsening...
Cesarean scar pregnancy (CSP) is a rare form of ectopic located in the lower uterine segment. The current increase percentage cesarean sections accompanied by significant growth incidence CSP, while advances ultrasound diagnostic techniques have led to greater number CSP diagnoses. A misdiagnosed or one that diagnosed too late, life-threatening pregnant patient and predisposes her complications such as bleeding rupture, which often require hysterectomy thus result irreversible loss...
OBJECTIVESPregnancy in a uterine rudimentary horn presents with an incidence of 1:100,000 pregnancies and carries high risk rupture severe potentially lethal intra-abdominal haemorrhage.Accurate pre-operative diagnosis can be difficult.Limited published evidence suggests that such cases may managed successfully by laparoscopy.A number authors have used destructive techniques to the fetus following excision horn, extract tissues laparoscopically.Pre-operative feticide is recommended where...
Purpose: We evaluated the obstetrical outcomes, ultrasonographic characteristics, and final diagnosis in pregnancies with fetal megacystis (FM). Methods: outcomes associated structural abnormalities of fetuses FM detected between 2000 2021. Results: 17 were diagnosed, 16 had follow up. early megacystis. 14/16 (87.5%) terminated, 1/16 (6.25%) resulted intrauterine death, survived. was 13 other abnormal sonographic findings 12/16 (75%) pregnancies. The most common ultrasound abnormality...

Two experienced observers (Observers A and B) performed a retrospective review 3D-US stored volumes from sample 84 consecutive patients with clinical suspicious endometriosis. Each observer independently, blinded each other, evaluated presence or absence involvement septum. When no lesion seen, were asked judge if...
To describe the findings of transvaginal ultrasound (TUS) in Cesarean scars defects and their complications non-pregnant women. Non-pregnant, premenopausal women with a history previous section, referred to TUS for annual chek-up were included this study. scar defect was defined as hypoecohoic indentation at anterior wall lower uterine segment, measured three dimensions. Number Cesaeran sections reviewed. This dehiscence (separation that does not disrupt serosa), rupture (a complete...
