To investigate the insulating state of pressure-induced superconductor, beta-(meso-DMBEDT-TTF)2PF6, we have carried out X-ray analysis at 11.5 K. In an asymmetric unit, there exist two crystallographically independent donor molecules, caused by charge separation. column structure, arrangement charge-rich (r) and -poor (p) molecules is as rrpprrpp, which affords "checkerboard"-type ordering.

The response of a thin piezothermoelastic composite plate subjected to stationary thermal and electric fields is investigated. Solutions are based on the classical lamination theory, both direct piezoelectric effect pyroelectric in constitutive relations piezothermoelasticity considered. In vitro evaluation of the physical properties biopolymer-based hydrogels can help in understanding certain phenomena, such as liquid-liquid phase separation. The formation bovine serum albumin (BSA) was investigated pH range 1.0 to 4.0. Hydrogels were formed 3.0 4.0, whereas viscous solutions 1.5 2.5. Unexpectedly, BSA hydrogel observed extremely acidic condition (pH 1.0). circular dichroism spectra recorded at values 1.0, 2.0, 3.0, and 7.0, α-helix contents determined from ellipticity data...

Abstract Despite being a promising soft material embodied by molecular self-assembly, the formation mechanism of supramolecular gels remains challenging to fully understand. Here we provide nanoscopic insights into gel-forming fibers from urea derivative. High-speed atomic force microscopy derivative revealed presence lag phase prior fibers, suggesting nucleation process. The fiber growth kinetics differ at both termini fiber, indicating directional hydrogen-bonding motif units, which is...
