A novel palladium-catalyzed oxidative C−H functionalization protocol for the synthesis of (2-oxoindolin-3-ylidene)methyl acetates has been developed. In presence Pd(OAc)2 and PhI(OAc)2, a variety N-arylpropiolamides underwent reaction with acids to afford corresponding (E)-(2-oxoindolin-3-ylidene)methyl selectively in moderate excellent yields.

An expedient synthesis of α-aminoboronic acid derivatives via cobalt-catalyzed remote site-selective hydroboration unactivated alkenes is described herein. We report on the use of block copolymer micelles polystyrene-b-poly(acrylic acid) (PS-b-PAA) as matrixes for incorporating dibenzyl diselenide. found that water-insoluble diselenide, after being incorporated into micelles, demonstrates glutathione peroxidase (GPx) activity in water. Surprisingly, mimicking system can be adjusted to show higher GPx by increasing ionic strength solution simply upon addition NaCl. Moreover, diselenide is quite stable and maintains its even exposure atmosphere.
