1 We have investigated the effects of moderate global undernutrition during gestation in rat on blood pressure male and female offspring, development systemic vascular function. Pregnant Wistar rats were nutritionally restricted (R) by feeding with 70% normal gestation-matched dietary intake from 0 to 18 days gestation. 2 R offspring growth retarded at birth but similar weight controls (C) 20 days. Systolic and/or diastolic mean arterial pressures, measured directly femoral artery catheter,...

IgG4‐related sclerosing disease has been recently recognized as a systemic entity characterized by an elevated serum IgG4 level, fibrosis and diffuse lymphoplasmacytic infiltration many IgG4‐positive plasma cells. Similar histopathological features have often noted in the fibrous variant of Hashimoto's autoimmune thyroiditis, but thyroid gland involvement only briefly mentioned with regard to IgG4, no immunohistochemistry for reported thyroiditis. Herein, purpose present study was...

There is a continuous debate regarding the classification of thyroid follicular lesions and term “well‐differentiated tumor uncertain malignant potential (WDT‐UMP)” was recently introduced to cover this problematic spectrum tumors. The objective study reappraise WDT‐UMP using morphological, immunochemical, molecular analysis shed more light on encapsulated follicular‐patterned A total 30 cases with equivocal papillary carcinoma‐type nuclear changes (PTC‐N) or focal unequivocal PTC‐N were...

Recent reports on Hashimoto's thyroiditis (HT) with increased numbers of IgG4-positive plasma cells suggest that this type HT may have a close relationship to IgG4-related disease (IgG4-RD). This unique subgroup is termed as IgG4 and reveals distinct clinical, serological, sonographic features from the non-IgG4 group. On basis immunostaining for IgG4, was divided into an group Clinically, associated younger age group, lower female-male ratio, higher levels thyroid autoantibodies, diffuse low...

Catheters were inserted into an umbilical vein a common carotid artery, flowmeter was placed around veins. Endothelial cells of the cerebral arterial system in spontaneously hypertensive rats were investigated by scanning electronmicroscopy and found to show progressive changes such as increased microvilli, numerous plasmalemmal pits, enlargement well-developed marginal folds. Regressive changes, balloon-like protrusions crater-like cave-ins, also observed. Platelet adhesion injured endothelial surface arteries was frequent. The significance these development cerebrovascular lesions is discussed.

Two hundred and sixty‐three cases of primary human papillary thyroid carcinoma (PTC) were analyzed. All met the following parameters: tumor size ≥ 10 mm, no distant metastasis at presentation, coexistence other histological type. The features solid/trabecular component, encapsulation, tall/columnar cell component loss polarity/cohesiveness utilized to subclassify 263 PTC into five groups: solid type (15.6%), encapsulated group (9.5%), (7.2%), micropapillary/discohesive (19.8%)...

In anesthetized dogs, subarachnoid hemorrhage (SAH) was induced by the mechanical rupture of unilateral intracranial internal carotid artery. Vasospasm angiographically determined 24 hours and 7 days after SAH. Contractile responses to serotonin, norepinephrine, histamine, K+ were compared in control bleeding sides middle cerebral arteries removed from dogs with SAH, sham-operated dogs. Carcinoma of possible thymic epithelial origin may occur within the thyroid gland, which was first reported by Miyauchi et al. as intrathyroid thymoma (ITET). ITET is a rare tumor comprising about 0.08% all primary malignancies. It low-grade carcinoma with squamous cell differentiation whose overall survival rate found to be 71%. Human epidemiological and animal experimental studies suggest that maternal undernutrition during pregnancy may alter cardiovascular development of the offspring. The extent to which these effects involve changes in fetal function whether they are necessarily linked reduced growth is unknown.
