Since its initial release in 2001, the human reference genome has undergone continuous improvement quality, and recently released telomere-to-telomere (T2T) version - T2T-CHM13 reaches highest level of continuity accuracy after 20 years effort by working on a simplified, nearly homozygous hydatidiform mole cell line. Here, to provide an authentic complete diploid for Han Chinese, largest population world, we assembled male Chinese individual, T2T-YAO, which includes T2T assemblies all 22 + X...

Bacterial tolerance, especially in Staphylococcus aureus (S. aureus), may arise under intermittent antibiotic regimens and act as a stepping stone toward resistance development. However, the transition from tolerance to its contributing factors remain poorly understood. This study explores role of efflux pump gene abcA this process. mutants (overexpression, knockout, complementation) were constructed via homologous recombination. These strains subjected 21 cycles exposure oxacillin at 20×...

Abstract Since its initial release in 2001, the human reference genome has been continuously improved both continuity and accuracy, recently-released telomere-to-telomere version—T2T-CHM13—reaches top quality after 20 years of effort. However, T2T-CHM13 does not represent an authentic diploid genome, but rather one derived from a simplified, nearly homozygous hydatidiform mole cell line. To address this limitation provide alternative pertinent to Chinese population, largest ethnic group...

Objective: To observe the therapeutic effects and related mechanism of hemin on progression hepatic fibrosis in rats. Methods: Sixty male Wistar rats were randomly divided into normal control group, 4-week model 6-week inhibitor zinc protoporphyrin-IX (ZnPP-IX) intervention group group. Hemin complex liver was intraperitonealy administered ZnPP-IX or every other day for 2 weeks from fourth week. The mRNA expression HO-1, α-smooth muscle actin (α-SMA) nuclear factor-κB (NF-κB) tissue detected...

Abstract Background: Opportunistic pathogens are important for clinical practice as they often cause antibiotic-resistant infections. However, little is documented many emerging opportunistic and their biological characteristics. Here, we isolated a strain of extended-spectrum β-lactamase-producing Enterobacteriaceae from patient with biliary tract infection. We explored the genomic characteristics this to provide new evidence detailed information about co-infection may cause. Results: The...

Abstract Background T helper (Th) cell cytokine imbalances have been associated with the pathophysiology of chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD), including Th1/Th2 and Th17/Treg paradigms. Clarifying profiles during COPD acute exacerbation (AE) their relationships clinical manifestations would help in understanding pathogenesis improve management. Methods Patients admitted to hospital AEs from January 2017 August were included this study, follow-up was conducted after discharge (every...

Staphylococcus lugdunensis (S. lugdunensis) is a coagulase-negative comprising the normal skin microbiota, primarily colonizing lower abdomen and extremities.[1]S. has attracted substantial attention in recent years since discovery of lugdunin by Zipperer et al[2] 2016. Lugdunin secondary metabolite synthesized non-ribosomal peptide synthetase (NRPS) that inhibits growth various gram-positive bacteria, including methicillin-resistant S. aureus (MRSA),[2] suggesting its potential as an...
