Fibromyalgia is a prevalent syndrome characterized by widespread pain in the absence of evident tissue injury or pathology, making it one most mysterious chronic conditions. The composition gut microbiota individuals with fibromyalgia differs from that healthy controls, but its functional role unknown. Here, we show fecal transplantation patients, not into germ-free mice induces and numerous molecular phenotypes parallel known changes including immune activation metabolomic profile...

Abstract Fibromyalgia is a chronic syndrome characterized by widespread pain in the absence of evident tissue injury or pathology, making it one most mysterious conditions. Despite affecting 2–4% population, primarily women 1 , cause and underlying mechanisms fibromyalgia remain elusive, effective targeted treatments are currently unavailable. The gut microbiota with differs from healthy controls 2,3 . However, unknown whether changes have causal role mediating other symptoms fibromyalgia....

Following minor surgery performed under topical application of oxybuprocaine (Dorsacaine, Novesin) two patients suffered from fibrinous iritis and moderate corneal swelling. We believe that this represents a toxic reaction caused by an inadvertent entry drug into the anterior chamber during procedure.

A numerical anthropomorphic model of the breathing thorax and beating heart is presented. It includes main thoracic/cardiac anatomical structures, vessel junctions as well structures' motion. Its feature that it based on a Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI) examination performed same human subject within session from which both structural motion information are retrieved. This confers to very good consistency. virtually imaged by two simulators: MRI simulator Positron Emission Tomography (PET)...

This paper presents a realistic numerical beating heart phantom. The development of such model is motivated by the need an appropriate ground truth reference for evaluation cardiac image processing algorithms. An anatomical has been developed extracting cardio-vascular structures contours from 3D acquisition in magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) human healthy subject. Cardiac motion tracked non rigid registration between consecutive linearly interpolated volumes dynamic MRI sequences....

Abstract We report a 63‐year‐old male patient who presented with eosinophilic granulomatous vasculitis of the gall bladder secondary to carbamazepine drug therapy. Following commencement for treatment partial seizures, developed an allergic cutaneous rash. He continued take postdischarge despite cessation by treating team. represented 7 weeks later acute pancreatitis and cholecystis. Gall histopathology showed vasculitis.

Histopathological examination of a conjunctival lesion occurring in two-and-a-half-year-old boy revealed granulomatous inflammation surrounding filamentous foreign material. The main type fiber was fairly uniform diameter, generally round to oval cross-section, with vivid birefringence, manifesting "cracking phenomenon" and lacking central core. These findings are typical synthetic fibers. Synthetic granulomas often occur children, predominantly unilaterally. Comforting blankets, fabric toys...

A 78-year-old female patient developed mycotic keratitis in her right eye three months after penetrating keratoplasty. Multiple myeloma is presumed to have been the predisposing factor. Candida albicans was isolated from aqueous humor at time of surgery. Treatment consisted systemic ketoconazole (p.o.) and miconazole (i.v.); drops were applied topically amphotericin B instilled into anterior chamber. Resolution corneal infection ultimately achieved with this therapy.
