We innovatively used propensity score matching address confounding variables when calculating score. Data were derived from Longitudinal Study of Older Adults Anhui Province, China, 3,672 observations 2001 2021. The results revealed...
Abstract One difference between a low‐pressure plasma treatment and an atmospheric pressure is that in the atmosphere, substrate material may contain significant quantities of moisture, which could potentially influence effects treatment. To investigate how existence moisture affects treatment, aramid fibers (Twaron 1000) with three different regains (0.5, 4.5, 5.5%) were treated by jet for 3 s at gas flow rate 8 L/min, head temperature 100°C, power 10 W. The scanning electron microscopy...
Experiments of a material-surface treatment using the nonthermal plasma generated by dielectric barrier discharge (DBD) at atmospheric pressure in ambient air are carried out on laboratory scale to see if DBD can be used enhancing surface hydrophobicity. It is well known that react with material and induce physical chemical changes improve wettability. The main purpose this paper, however, look into possibility same experimental setup do opposite, i.e., hydrophobicity for better insulation...

It has long been a problem how to objectively evaluate the wet wearing comfortability of fabrics. In this paper novel testing method was proposed, and an instrument designed made. During process, fabric specimen first got saturated by “sweat” adhered on “skin”, then it separated at due rate from skin in time adhesion force-displacement curve drawn simultaneously. When totally skin, maximum force work were measured such as properties specimen. Six different kinds fabrics selected tested. The...
UHMWPE filaments have a low surface free energy and therefore often require modification of their properties before any use. Atmospheric pressure plasmas treatment is convenient environmentally friendly way to obtain these modifications by introducing new chemical groups at the without affecting bulk properties. This paper studies influence nano-SiO2 sol-gel coating pretreatment on atmospheric plasma jet (APPJ) ultrahigh molecular weight polyethylene (UHMWPE) fibers when mixture 100% helium...
Increasing air pollution caused mainly by exhaust emission has become a serious concern for public health. In order to efficiently control the from origin, hot gas filtration is required in many industries, such as thermal power regeneration, metal refining/recycling, and biomass/coal gasification. This study aimed develop hybrid filter composed with ultrafine fibrous polyimide (PI) layers carbon woven fabric supporting filtration. Uniform PI fibers around 200 nm small pores about 2.2 μm...
The influence of He/O2 atmospheric pressure plasma jet (APPJ) treatment on subsequent wet desizing polyarylate PET fabrics was studied in present paper. Atomic force microscopy (AFM) and Scanning electron (SEM) showed an increased surface roughness after the treatment. SEM also that fiber surfaces were as clean unsized fibers 35 s followed by NaHCO3 desizing. X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy (XPS) analysis indicated oxygen-based functional groups for treated polyacrylate sized fabrics....
The use of natural plant fibers as reinforcing fillers in fiber-polymer composites has drawn much interest recent years. Natural have several advantages over inorganic such glass fibers; they are abundant, readily available, renewable, inexpensive, biodegradable, low density, and high specific strength. Hemp one the most attractive for fiber-reinforced because their exceptional stiffness. In this review, we summarize progress developments hemp fiber reinforced unsaturated polyester (UPE),...
Polylactic Acid (PLA) and raw Wheat Straw (WS) were used to fabricate WS/PLA green composites. By hot-press process, composites with different WS volume fractions (20% 30%) obtained. The experimental results showed that when the fraction was 20%, had a tensile strength of 23.68MPa modulus 1.47GPa; bending 64.13MPa 1.44GPa. When increased 30%, enhanced by 45.18% 35.37% respectively; 15.80% 25.69%. It indicated PLA can be successfully reinforced at certain fractions.
In the current study role of plasma treated nano titanium dioxide particles and strain rate on tensile properties TiO2 particles/PP/PLA nano-composites filaments (PTNTOPPCF) was studied.
