Pyroptosis is a form of caspase-1-dependent programmed cell death with anti-tumor properties, but the underlying molecular mechanisms are not fully understood. The results our study showed that antihyperlipidemic drug simvastatin induced pyroptosis in non-small lung cancer (NSCLC) lines and xenograft mouse model.Inhibition attenuated effects on tumor viability migration. These data suggest may induce pyroptosis, thereby potentially serving as novel therapeutic agent for NSCLC.

Rationale: Tolerogenic dendritic cells (tol-DCs) play essential roles in immune-related diseases and induce immune tolerance by shaping T-cell responses.Accumulating evidence suggests that long noncoding RNAs (lncRNAs) important regulatory the system. However, potential underlying mechanisms of lncRNAs tol-DCs remain unclear. Methods: RNA in-situ hybridization, histochemistry, qRT-PCR were performed to determine distribution expression NEAT1 DCs.Flow cytometry was used analyze tolerogenic...

By shaping T cell immunity, tolerogenic dendritic cells (tDCs) play critical roles in the induction of immune tolerance after transplantation. However, role long noncoding RNAs (lncRNAs) function and (DCs) is largely unknown. Here, we found that lncRNA MALAT1 upregulated infiltrating tolerized mice with cardiac allografts activated DCs. Functionally, overexpression favored a switch DCs toward tolerant phenotype. Mechanistically, ectopic promoted cell-specific intercellular adhesion...

Several studies have indicated that the dysregulation of microbial metabolites and inflammatory environment resulting from dysbiosis may contribute to occurrence progression cardiovascular diseases. Therefore, restoring disordered gut microbiota in patients with colorectal cancer by fecal transplantation (FMT) has potential reduce incidence cardiac disease. In this study, we identified dysfunction azomethane dextran sodium sulfate-induced mice. Intestinal microbes healthy mice were...

Lung cancer is prevalent worldwide and a leading contributor to tumor death. This research intends explore the molecular mechanism of microRNA-651-5p (miR-651-5p)/Calmodulin 2 (CALM2) axis in proliferation, migration, invasion lung cells.Lung tissues para-cancerous were collected. The expression levels miR-651-5p CALM2 cells tested, connection between clinicopathological characteristics patients was further analyzed. binding sites analyzed validated. cell invasion, apoptosis...

Abstract Objectives Uniportal video-assisted thoracoscopic surgery pneumonectomy (U-VATS-P) is feasible and safe from a perioperative standpoint. How to choose the proper chest tube drainage method important in enhanced recovery after (ERAS) protocols. In this study, we aimed assess safety of one 8.5-Fr (1Fr = 0.333 mm) pigtail catheter for postoperative continuous open gravity U-VATS-P. Methods We retrospectively reviewed single surgeon’s experience with U-VATS-P lung cancer May 2016...

To explore relevant mechanisms of miR-139-5p in alleviating the metastasis non-small cell lung cancer cells (NSCLC) and their resistance against cisplatin.Quantitative real-time polymerase chain reaction (qRT-PCR) Western blot (WB) assays were carried out to determine protein levels YAF2, cisplatin (DDP)-resistant NSCLC strains established. Subsequently, an MTT assay was employed evaluate viability strains, a Transwell invasion activity, flow cytometry analyze apoptosis rate. Finally, P-PI3K...

Lung cancer is a major cause of cancer-related death worldwide. This study investigated the regulatory effects microRNA-99a-5p (miR-99a-5)/VLDLR axis on lung cell sensitivity to chemotherapy and its mechanism. miR-99a-5p VLDLR expression levels were quantified using RT-qPCR western blotting, respectively. The IC50 value cisplatin (DDP) was determined CCK-8 assay. proliferation apoptosis measured assay flow cytometry, mRNA apoptosis-related factors (Bax, Bcl-2, Caspase-3) evaluated RT-qPCR....

Abstract Objective In this study, we investigated whether microRNA (MiR) let 7i regulates DCs maturation targeting IL-10 via JAK1-STAT3 signal pathway subsequently prolongs rat cardiac allograft survival. Methods QRT-PCR, ELISA, dual luciferase assay were performed to verify was the target of 7i. Tregs assessed by flow cytometry and immunohistochemical JAK1, STAT3 pSTAT3 expressions detected western bolt. Lewis recipients DA heart transfused with PBS, LPS-mDCs, or inhibitor-mDCs. Allograft...
