Current knowledge of risk assessment in survivors myocardial infarction is largely based on data gathered before the advent thrombolysis. It must be determined whether and to what extent available information proposed criteria prognostication are applicable thrombolytic era.We reassessed prediction 10,219 with follow-up (ie, 98% total) who had been enrolled GISSI-2 trial, relying a set prespecified variables. The 3.5% 6-month all-cause mortality rate these patients compared higher value 4.6%...

The fragmentation of quasi-projectiles from the nuclear reaction 40Ca + 12C at 25 MeV/nucleon was used to produce excited states candidates α-particle condensation. Complete kinematic characterization individual decay events, made possible by a high-granularity 4π charged particle multi-detector, reveals that 7.5±4.0% decays Hoyle state correspond direct in three equal-energy α-particles.

We present a new experimental method to correlate the isotopic composition of intermediate mass fragments (IMF) emitted at midrapidity in semiperipheral collisions with emission timescale: IMFs early stage reaction show larger values $\ensuremath{\langle}N/Z\ensuremath{\rangle}$ isospin asymmetry, stronger angular anisotropies, and reduced odd-even staggering effects neutron proton ratio distributions than those produced sequential statistical emission. All these support concept...

Left ventricular dilatation and a low ejection fraction after acute myocardial infarction are independent indicators of poor prognosis. ACE inhibitors have been shown to decrease left infarction. In the GISSI-3 trial, patients were randomlyassigned, within 24 h onset symptoms, 6 weeks treatment with lisinopril, nitroglycerin, both or neither, in an open, 2 × factorial design. The study showed that early relatively unselected lisinopril decreases mortality at severe dysfunction. We assessed...

Equilibration and equilibration rates have been measured by colliding Sn nuclei with different isospin asymmetries at beam energies of E/A=35 MeV. Using the yields mirror 7Li 7Be, we studied diffusion asymmetry combining data from asymmetric 112Sn+124Sn 124Sn+112Sn collisions that symmetric 112Sn+112Sn 124Sn+124Sn collisions. We use these measurements to probe in central where nucleon-nucleon are strongly blocked Pauli exclusion principal. The results consistent transport theoretical...

40Ca+;{40,48}Ca,46Ti reactions at 25 MeV/nucleon have been studied using the 4pi CHIMERA detector. An isospin effect on competition between fusionlike and binarylike reaction mechanisms has observed. The probability of producing a heavy residue is lower in case N approximately Z colliding systems as compared to induced neutron rich 48Ca target. Predictions based constrained molecular dynamics II calculations show that binary selected centrality bins can constrain parametrization symmetry...

NeuLAND (New Large-Area Neutron Detector) is the next-generation neutron detector for R3B (Reactions with Relativistic Radioactive Beams) experiment at FAIR (Facility Antiproton and Ion Research). detects neutrons energies from 100 to 1000 MeV, featuring a high detection efficiency, spatial time resolution, large multi-neutron reconstruction efficiency. This achieved by highly granular design of organic scintillators: 3000 individual submodules size 5 × 250 cm3 are arranged in 30 double...

Semiperipheral collisions in the $^{124}\mathrm{Sn}+^{64}\mathrm{Ni}$ reaction at 35 MeV/nucleon were studied using forward part of Charged Heavy Ion Mass and Energy Resolving Array. Nearly completely determined ternary events involving projectilelike fragments (PLF), targetlike (TLF), intermediate mass (IMF) selected. A new method studying mechanism, focusing on analysis correlations between relative velocities IMF+PLF IMF+TLF subsystems, is proposed. The velocity provide information time...
