Laser ablation-inductively coupled plasma-mass spectrometry (LA-ICP-MS) analyses of 1,407 sedimentary (diagenetic and syngenetic) pyrites from 45 carbonaceous shale unconsolidated sulfidic sediment samples, ranging in age Paleoarchean to present day, show a considerable range trace element compositions. Arsenic, Ni, Pb, Cu, Co are among the most abundant trace elements, with medians 100 1,000 ppm. Less elements Mo, Sb, Zn, Se have median ranges 10 to ppm, Ag, Bi, Te, Cd, Au 0.01 Our...

The Kapai Slate is a continuous, pyrite-rich carbonaceous shale horizon within the St. Ives Au district that spatially related to high-grade mineralization. In situ laser ablation-inductively coupled mass spectrometry (LA-ICPMS) trace element analyses, in sensitive high resolution ion microprobe, stable isotope (SHRIMP-SI) S and optical microscopy pyrite texture analyses were used examine different types deposits. These data also confirm signature of sedimentary can be preserved rocks...

DNA sequencing continues to get cheaper and faster. In parallel, algorithmic innovations have allowed inference of a wide range nuclear, mitochondrial, somatic evolutionary from data. To make automated, high-quality more readily available, we created an extensible Nextflow meta-pipeline called metapipeline-DNA. Metapipeline-DNA supports processing raw reads through alignment, variant detection, quality control subclonal reconstruction. Each step quality-control, data-visualization multiple...

Abstract Hereditary leiomyomatosis and renal cell cancer (HLRCC) is a rare hereditary condition affecting over 1 in 200,000 people worldwide. Individuals with HLRCC are also at risk of developing an aggressive form carcinoma (RCC), as 15-20% patients develop type 2 papillary RCC associated poor prognosis. Although penetrance this has been studied, whole genome sequencing tumors yet to be examined, the landscape structural variants largely unknown. We have therefore performed tumor/normal...

Temporarily implanted electrocorticographic (ECoG) electrodes provide cortical electrical activity data during deep brain stimulation (DBS) surgery. Accurate localization of ECoG in 3D space is required for the recorded to be useful research, but these are only intraoperatively. During surgery, imaging modality available fluoroscopy, which produces a 2D rather than image. Current approaches require postoperative (postop) computed tomography (CT) volumes register with intraoperative...
