A validated endoscopic classification of diverticular disease (DD) the colon is lacking at present. Our aim was to develop a simple score DD: Diverticular Inflammation and Complication Assessment (DICA) score. The DICA for DD resulted in sum scores extension diverticulosis, number diverticula per region, presence type inflammation, complications: 1 (≤ 3), 2 (4-7) 3 (>7). comparison with abdominal pain inflammatory marker expression also performed. total 50 videos patients were reassessed...

Recently, Additive Manufacturing (AM) of metal components has opened new frontiers in heat transfer applications, going beyond the capabilities conventional technologies. Despite great design freedom offered by AM, when dealing with metals, there are a few issues that should be considered to exploit this manufacturing technology. In fact, surface roughness is expected affect performance devices, which can remarkably different from ones simulated computer codes. This paper presents critical...

Pancreatic tissue obtained from 26 patients with alcoholic chronic pancreatitis (ACP), nine nonalcoholic idiopathic (NAICP), and seven obstructive (OCP) was studied in an attempt to determine whether clinical or etiologic differences have a morphologic counterpart. Histologically it easy distinguish ACP OCP occurring distal obstruction of the pancreatic duct. Nine NAICP showed histological features similar those found ACP. Plugs calcifications were as frequently ACP, suggesting that NAICP,...
