Abstract The aim of this work was to study the structure–activity relationships antioxidant activity natural coumarins isolated from four Korean medicinal plants (1–17) and purchased (18–21). free radical scavenging lipid peroxidation assays revealed that five phenolic coumarins, scopoletin (1), aesculetin (2), fraxetin (3), umbelliferone (18) daphnetin (19), possessed considerable activities. having a catechol group, 2, 3 19, showed significant inhibitory effects on peroxidation, indicating...
Fourteen cucurbitane-type triterpene glycosides (1—14) were isolated from a methanol extract of Momordica charantia fruits, including three new compounds, charantosides A—C (1, 5, 6). Their structures elucidated by chemical and spectroscopic methods. All compounds evaluated for α-glucosidase inhibitory effect. Of which, 12 13 showed moderate activity against α-glucosidase. Whereas, 2, 3, 6—11, 14 weak activity, 1, 4, 5 inactive.
Mathematical modeling competence plays a crucial role in the development of mathematical thinking and problem-solving skills for elementary students. This study explores theoretical foundations competence, framework significance topic "Fractions" fostering students' abilities. The research presents structured approach to developing students through teaching fractions, outlining key stages model-building process. Additionally, provides illustrative examples that demonstrate practical...
A methanol extract of the twigs Cinnamomum cassia was found to possess inhibitory activity against tyrosinase. Purification MeOH afforded four new phenolics, cassiferaldehyde (6), icariside DC (9), cinnacassinol (10), and dihydrocinnacasside (13), together with 10 known compounds (1−5, 7−12, 14). The structures were determined by spectroscopic data interpretation. Compounds 1−6 8−13 showed strong tyrosinase, IC50 values ranging from 0.24 0.94 mM.
The methanol extract of Moutan cortex (Paeonia suffruticosa) afforded two new compounds, 8-O-benzoylpaeonidanin (1) and 5-hydroxy-3S-hydroxymethyl-6-methyl-2,3-dihydrobenzofuran (2), in addition to 4-O-butylpaeoniflorin (3) as an artifact the separation, seven monoterpene glycosides (4−10), monoterpenes (11, 12), four acetophenones (13−16), triterpenes (17, 18). structures compounds were determined by spectroscopic methods, evaluated for inhibitory effects against rat lens aldose reductase...
The aim of the present study was to investigate effects ethyl acetate fraction an ethanol extract Coix lachryma-jobi (ECLJ) on glucose uptake and adipocyte differentiation in 3T3-L1 cells. ECLJ phosphorylated AMP-activated protein kinase (AMPK) its downstream substrate acetyl-coenzymeA carboxylase cells a time- dose-dependent manner. Moreover, we discovered that compound C inhibits ECLJ-stimulated ACC phosphorylation. In addition, exhibited stimulation cells, this increase obviously...
AbstractCurcuma zedoaroides Chaveer. & Tanee (Vietnamese name: Nghệ đắng) belongs to the Zingiberaceae family which is new Curcuma species discovered in Thailand and Vietnam recent years. This study aimed determine chemical compositions cytotoxic activities of C. rhizome essential oil for first time. The was obtained from rhizomes through hydro-distillation analyzed by gas chromatography-mass spectrometry (GC-MS) technique. Results showed that majority dominated oxygenated sesquiterpenes...
Abstract Two new norlignans, cedralins A ( 1 ) and B 2 ), were isolated from the leaves of Cedrela sinensis. Their structures established by extensive spectroscopic studies chemical evidence. The absolute configurations these compounds determined comparing their CD spectra with those known compounds. In addition, in vitro cytotoxic activity against two human‐cancer cell lines was evaluated.
The objective of the present study was to elucidate beneficial properties ampelopsine B (1) and ε-Viniferin (2), two oligostilbenes isolated from rhubarb, toward cardiovascular disease by protecting human lipoproteins against lipid peroxidation. In low density lipoprotein (LDL) oxidation, both 1 2 exert an inhibitory activity Cu2+-, 2,2′-azobis-(2-amidinopropane) hydrochloride (AAPH)-induced, as exhibited prolongation lag time 52 118 136 min, respectively, also increasing 38 105 128 min in...
Vitis heyneana is widely distributed in the north of Vietnam, it has been used Vietnamese traditional medicine as an agent for treatment arthritis, bronchitis, carbuncles and inflammatory conditions, menstrual irregularities. However, this plant not investigated phytochemical constituents biological effects, especially anti-inflammatory property. Bioassay-guided fractionation EtOAc soluble fraction from aerial part resulted isolation a series oligostilbenoids piceid (1), 2-r-viniferin (2),...
An HPLC-DAD method for the quality control of wild and cultivated Ganoderma lucidum (Linhzhi) related species samples was developed validated. The quantitative determination G. its using 14 triterpene constituents, including nine ganoderma acids (compounds 4–12), four alcohols 13–16), one sterol (ergosterol, 17) were reported. standard curves linear over concentration range 7.5–180 µg/mL. LOD LOQ values analyses varied from 0.34 to 1.41 µg/mL 1.01 4.23 µg/mL, respectively. percentage...
Abstract Two new diterpene derivatives named cinnacasol ( 1 ) and cinnacaside 2 were isolated from the MeOH extract of twigs Cinnamomum cassia Blume . Their structures identified based on physicochemical properties spectroscopic‐data analyses such as IR, HR‐MS, 1D‐ 2D‐NMR, by comparison with published values.
