We report on the first detailed measurements of electron backscattering from low $Z$ targets at energies up to $124\phantom{\rule{0.3em}{0ex}}\text{keV}$. Both energy and angular distributions backscattered electrons are measured compared with transport simulations based Geant4 Penelope Monte Carlo simulation codes.
