High-definition automated optical analysis was used to observe the morphological changes of bleached hardwood dissolving pulp during oxidation mediated by (2,2,6,6-tetramethylpiperidn-1-yl)oxyl (TEMPO). The effects TEMPO treatment kinetics on fiber morphology and fibrillation degree at a constant reagent loading were studied. underwent significant swelling, carboxyl groups introduced in which cell walls loosened, contributed subsequently nanocellulose dispersion quality terms both viscosity...
With the advancement of drug delivery systems based on mesoporous silica nanoparticles (MSNs), a simple and efficient method regulating release kinetics is needed. We developed redox-responsive with three levels hindrance around disulfide bond. A model (rhodamine B dye) was loaded into MSNs' voids. The pore opening capped β-cyclodextrin in order to prevent leakage drug. Indeed, absence reducing agent exhibited little leakage, while addition dithiothreitol cleaved bonds enabled cargo. rate...
To elucidate the importance of size capping agents in stimulus-induced release systems from mesoporous silica nanoparticles (MSNs), effectiveness poly(propylene imine) dendrimers controlling model drug was studied. MCM-41-type MSNs were synthesized and characterized. Fluorescent compounds (fluorescein disodium salt carboxyfluorescein) loaded porous structure entrapped matrix with generations I through V by anchoring on MSN surface disulfide bonds. Stimulus-induced cargo studied presence...
Photocatalytic CO2 reduction in the liquid phase at neutral pH conditions has been studied employing high surface area Mn-modified cubic CeO2 and amorphous ZrO2 catalysts. Results of photocatalytic to methane are promising on comparable with noble metal-based photocatalysts. The both supports increased Mn addition. Two broad diffraction peaks X-ray diffractograms indicate that support is addition showed no considerable change. High intense for illustrated fluorite decreased crystallite size...
The photocatalytic properties of TiO2 are primarily determined by its crystallinity and crystalline phase ratios. To improve the TiO2, greater control over formation amorphous phases during synthesis is therefore required. In this study, we demonstrate how addition minute amounts three organic compounds (isopropanol, acetone acetic acid) hydrothermal treatment affects ratios: isopropanol or accelerates transition from anatase brookite to rutile, whereas acid inhibits transformation...
We present a novel – cutoff concept of colorimetric indication relative humidity based on dye dissolution in condensed water capillaries selectively functionalized mesoporours host SiO2 material. Consistently high levels indoor air induces mold and algae growth which represent potential risks for human health have deteriorating effect walls as well. Simple localized detection with naked eye especially at places low circulation, where usually starts first, is therefore highly desirable. The...
Fe69±3Pd31±3 nanowires (NWs) with lengths of a few microns and diameters 200 nm were synthesized via template-assisted pulsed electrodeposition into alumina-based templates. The as-deposited NWs exhibited α-Fe (bcc-solid solution Fe, Pd) nanocrystalline structure as seen from the x-ray diffraction (XRD), that got confirmed by transmission electron microscopy (TEM) some larger grains up 50 observed. Annealing at 1173 K/45 min was followed quenching in ice water resulted transformation to fcc...
Tetraethyl-orthosilicate (TEOS)-based nanoparticles are most extensively used as a silica-based hemoglobin carrier system. However, TEOS-based induce adverse effects on the structure. Therefore, heulandite-calcium-based was investigated novel The heulandite-calcium mesoporous aluminosilicate particles (MSPs) were fabricated by patented tribo-mechanical activation process, according to manufacturer, and its structure assessed X-ray diffraction analysis. Upon encapsulation, alternation in...
