This work is to study the baicalin and its three analogs, baicalin, wogonoside, wogonin, on protective effect of neuron from oxygen-glucose deprivation (OGD) toll-like receptor 2 (TLR2) expression in OGD damage. The results showed that analogs did protect neurons damage downregulated protein level TLR2. D-Glucopyranosiduronic acid site 7 structure played a core cytotoxicity these flavonoid analogs. methoxyl group carbon 8 had relation with TLR2 expression, as well anti-inflammation. In...

Background: Neuropeptide Y (NPY) has been well known to induce cardiomyocyte hypertrophy (CH), which is possibly caused by disruption of cardiac cell energy balance. As mitochondria losely related metabolism, in this study, we investigated the changes mitochondrial dynamics-related protein (Drp1) expression under action NPY. miRNA-29a, a endogenous noncoding small molecule RNA involved many diseases, using bioinformatics tool, found potential binding site miRNA-29a on Drp1 mRNA, and...

Glucose transporter 1 (GLUT1) plays a primary role in the glucose metabolism of cancer cells. However, to best our knowledge, there are currently no anticancer drugs that inhibit GLUT1 function. The present study aimed investigate antineoplastic activity berberine (BBR), main active ingredient numerous Traditional Chinese medicinal herbs, on HepG2 and MCF7 results Cell Counting Kit‑8 assay, colony formation assay flow cytometry revealed BBR effectively inhibited proliferation tumor cells,...

Objective To investigate the dynamic changes of interleukin-1 receptor-associated kinases (IRAK-4) in hypoxic neurons and explore their role regulation inflammatory reaction. Methods The B35 cells exposed to hypoxia 3% O2,5% CO2 92% N2 were cultured for 1,3,6, 12,24,48,72 96 hours respectively. Then, mRNA protein expressions IRAK-4 detected by RT-PCR Western blot, expression observed laser scanning con-focal microscope (LSCM), concentration IL-6 was measured ELISA method. Results After...
